戦争論：文化装置としての靖国神社

"War" is designed not only to kill the enemy, but also to kill one's own people. The deaths of the Kamikaze pilots ( the suicide attackers ) were those of the elite, while the deaths of low-ranking soldiers were, for example, those with maggots from starvation on southern islands. To make not only the former but also the latter not "deaths in vain" but "sacred," to enshrine them all as "heroic spirits," in other words, "Yasukuni Shrine" was a cultural device prepared to "justify being killed in the war.”　"戦争 "は敵を殺すだけでなく、同胞を殺すためにも画策される。神風特攻隊の死はエリートの死であり、下級兵士の死は、たとえば南の島での餓死でウジがわいたような死であった。前者だけでなく後者も「犬死いぬじに」ではなく「神聖」なものとして、すべてを「英霊」として祀るために用意された文化装置が「靖国神社」であったのだ。
