Now, Australian influencer Lochie Jones has come under fire for allegedly taking a can of alcohol from a grave site. Jones, from Sydney, posted the clip on social media in August, under the title “Suicide Forest Japan Pt 2 Graveyard Flip.”

動画には、ジョーンズが墓地に入り、墓の近くでコインを投げる様子が映っている。墓の中から未開封のビール缶が見つかったのだ。「キリンの缶1本。飲んでもいいかな？」と視聴者に問いかけ、コイントスで勝ってビールを開けた。
In the video, the Aussie could be seen walking into the gravesite and flipping a coin near a grave where he had found an unopened can of beer. “A whole can of Kirin. Should I drink it?” he asked viewers before ‘winning his coin flip and opening the beer.

While Jones spoke about Japan’s infamous suicide forests, he did drink the beer and left some Marlboro cigarettes in place of the can.

His clips have come under fire from locals, with many alerting police and reporting the Aussie for similar behavior.

“He finally went beyond stealing offered drinks and laid hands on a rabbit figurine. He threw away empty cans, placed a model gun on a tombstone, pulled out the sotoba erected to honor the deceased, and spewed insults. Can you forgive a guy like this?!!” one page said, pointing out a clip of Jones taking a rabbit figure from another grave.

“My advice is to keep surveillance on him till he leaves and notify Japanese immigration to deny him entry on his next “visit,” another said.

“Is the Japanese police and law enforcement going to do anything about this? He defiled graves two times already! Throw him in jail!” another asked. “Hurry and ban him from Japan,” another added.

Jones has continued posting clips on Instagram, with a TikTok profile in his name also poking fun at some of the headlines he has made.
