Train attack: Man charged with attempted murder after stabbings

32歳の男が、列車内で複数の乗客を刺傷したとして、殺人未遂容疑10件で起訴された。
A 32-year-old man has been charged with 10 counts of attempted murder after multiple people were stabbed on a train.

ピーターバラ在住のアンソニー・ウィリアムズ容疑者は、土曜日の午後8時（グリニッジ標準時）直前にケンブリッジシャー州ハンティンドンに停車した、ドンカスター発ロンドン・キングスクロス行きのLNERの列車内で犯行に及んだ後、逮捕された。
Anthony Williams, from Peterborough, was arrested after the attack on an LNER train from Doncaster to London King's Cross, which stopped in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, shortly before 20:00 GMT on Saturday.

英国交通警察によると、彼は傷害罪1件と刃物所持罪1件でも起訴されている。
British Transport Police said he had also been charged with one count of actual bodily harm and one count of possession of bladed article.

ウィリアムズ氏は後日、ピーターバラ治安判事裁判所に出廷する予定だ。
Mr Williams is due to appear at Peterborough Magistrates' Court later.

He has also been charged with another count of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article, in connection with an incident at Pontoon Dock DLR station earlier on Saturday.

Deputy Chief Constable Stuart Cundy said: "The criminal investigation and support for the victims is a priority for British Transport Police.

Tracy Easton, chief crown prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service, said it had "worked closely with British Transport Police to review a huge volume of evidence including CCTV".

警察によると、傷害容疑は、ハンティンドンでの事件後、留置施設内で警察官が暴行を受けた疑いに関連するものだという。
Police said the charge of actual bodily harm was related to an alleged assault on a police officer in a custody suite, following the incident at Huntingdon.

運輸大臣のハイディ・アレクサンダー氏によると、ハンティンドンでの事件発生時に乗客を守った鉄道職員は、病院で「重篤ながらも安定した状態」にあるとのこと。
A railway staff member who protected passengers during the Huntingdon attack is in a "critical but stable condition" in hospital, according to transport secretary Heidi Alexander.

11人が病院で手当てを受け、うち5人が現在も入院治療を受けている。Eleven people have been treated in hospital and five are still receiving care.
