Prime Minister Petteri Orpo (NCP) has apologised for the recent spate of racist social media posts by Finns Party MPs.

The posts were purportedly in support of a woman who lost her title as Miss Finland after a social media post showing her stretching her eyes with a text referring to a Chinese person.

In the messages, Orpo extends his "sincere apology for the offensive social media posts published by individual Members of Parliament."

Garedew, on the other hand, was unapologetic when interviewed by the tabloid Iltalehti on Wednesday.
