Thailand shooting: Hat Yai principal dies of gunshot injuries in hospital

タイ南部の学校を銃撃した男に撃たれた校長が、病院で死亡したと当局が発表した。
A school principal shot by a gunman who laid siege to the institute in southern Thailand has died in hospital, authorities said.

サシパット・シンサモソーンさんと女子生徒1人は、水曜日の現地時間17時（グリニッジ標準時10時）直前にハートヤイ市近郊の学校に侵入した18歳の男に射殺された。
Sasiphat Sinsamosorn and a female student were shot by the 18-year-old man, who entered the school near the city of Hat Yai shortly before 17:00 local time (10:00 GMT) on Wednesday.

地元警察によると、サシパットさんは木曜日の未明に負傷により死亡した。射殺された女子生徒の容態は安定している。また、包囲中に窓から飛び降りた別の生徒も、現在も入院中だという。
Sasiphat died of her injuries before dawn on Thursday, local police said. The student who was shot is in stable condition. Another student who jumped out of a window during the siege is also still in hospital, police said.

The gunman was arrested after a two-hour standoff that saw a number of students and teachers trapped in the Phatong Prathan Keeriwat School building.
