🌌 Tears of Stars

What falls in the night
are the tears of stars.

Perhaps they are the thoughts
once cast into the sky
by someone—
layered upon one another
until they fall.

From the depths of the darkness above,
they shimmer softly—
tiny fragments of memory
shaped like stars.

One by one,
they drift and sway
upon the wind,
floating down.

And if they should reach
a sorrowful heart,

may they gently
kindle a little flame,
to warm
the cold within.

Like stars
that shine on nights
without a moon—
may we too
find our light
upon this earth.
