[Level 99 Gadabout] A Maiden Voyage and a Youth's Regret
From BBQ Party to High-Speed Rescue
"Let's all go to the beach! ♪"
While walking my dog by the lake, I had a dramatic encounter with it:
A Jet Ski (Marine Jet).
Being a Level 99 Vagabond, I bought it on the spot.
I loaded up on a ton of BBQ gear and headed to a certain beach.
The constant thrill of tension over excitement—that’s the true essence of unlocking a new hobby.
After getting some practice in, I was having an absolute blast with my friends.
It was SO much fun ♪
YAAHOO! (ﾟдﾟ) DELISH!
"Can your boat go out right now?!!!"
Suddenly, a loud voice was directed at me.
A panicked woman was pointing out toward the open water.
I quickly assessed the situation, grabbed two life jackets, and gunned it toward the coordinates she pointed at.
There, I found two young guys thrashing about, barely keeping their heads above water.
I hauled up the guy who looked like he was fading fast and strapped a life jacket on him, then handed the second jacket to the other guy.
"I'm taking one of you back to shore first. I'll be right back, so hang tight!"
Rip currents.
A terrifying force of nature that can sweep you out to sea in a matter of minutes.
A life-saving rescue on my maiden voyage.
I wonder if those guys are doing alright now?
