福岡の街を象徴するものといえば、やっぱり「福岡ソフトバンクホークス」。私はまだ球団が「福岡ダイエーホークス」だった頃からの熱心なファンです。 福岡市内に暮らしていると、不思議とあちこちからドームのチケットが回ってくる、温かい地域ならではの思い出があります。今回は、球団移行期のハラハラした思い出から、ドームで応援歌を歌いながら楽しんだ、大好きな「あの1杯」のお話をお届けします。
ダイエーからソフトバンクへと球団が変わると発表された当時、ファンの間では大きな不安が広がっていました。「お気に入りの選手たちは残ってくれるのだろうか」「あの聞き慣れた応援歌はどうなってしまうのか」と、私もハラハラしながら見守っていました。しかし、選手はほぼそのままで、応援歌の「ダイエーホークス〜♪」の歌詞が「ソフトバンクホークス〜♪」に変わっただけで引き継がれると知り、心の底から安堵したのを今でもよく覚えています。 福岡の日常では、福利厚生や地域応援として会社や店舗が年間指定席を所有していることが多く、「行けなくなったから、よかったらどうぞ」と、親や私の元へ誰かしらを通じてよくチケットが回ってきました。そんなチケットを手に、ワクワクしながらドームへ向かう時間は格別の楽しみでした。
ドームに一歩足を踏み入れると、そこは熱気あふれる別世界。 みんなで声を合わせて応援歌を歌い、選手の一挙手一投足に一喜一憂する時間は本当にエネルギッシュでした。そして、私にとって観戦時の何よりの贅沢が、ドーム内を颯爽と歩く売り子のお姉さんを呼び止めて、キンキンに冷えた「レモン酎ハイ」を買って飲むことでした。 ドームの独特な熱気の中で、大好きな野球を見上げながら喉に流し込むレモン酎ハイは、どんな居酒屋で飲むものよりも美味しく感じられたものです。ホークスが見事に勝利を収めた日には、すっかりご機嫌になって、心地よい疲労感と幸福感に包まれながら家路についたものでした。

When people think of Fukuoka, one of the first things that comes to mind is the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. I’ve been a passionate fan since the days when they were still known as the "Fukuoka Daiei Hawks." Living in Fukuoka city, we had a wonderful local culture where game tickets would naturally find their way to us from all sorts of places. Today, I want to look back at the slightly anxious transition period of the team, the thrill of singing the fight song in the dome, and my absolute favorite game-day drink.
When it was announced that the team would transition from Daiei to SoftBank, a wave of anxiety hit the fan community. I remember worrying constantly, wondering, "Will my favorite players stay?" and "What will happen to our familiar fight song?" I watched the news with bated breath, and I still remember the immense relief when I learned that the roster remained mostly intact, and the lyrics to our beloved anthem simply swapped "Daiei Hawks" for "SoftBank Hawks." In our daily lives in Fukuoka, many local businesses bought season tickets as part of their corporate benefits, and whenever someone couldn't make it, those tickets would make their way to my parents or me. Getting hold of those tickets and heading to the dome with a racing heart was one of our favorite pastimes.
Stepping inside the dome was like entering another world filled with electrifying energy. Singing the fight songs in unison with thousands of other fans and reacting to every single play kept our spirits sky-high. But my ultimate personal luxury during the game was waving down one of the energetic beer-service girls and buying a ice-cold "lemon sour." Drinking that crisp, refreshing lemon sour amidst the unique heat of the dome while keeping my eyes glued to the field made it taste better than any drink at a regular bar. On nights when the Hawks clinched a victory, I would head home in the absolute best of moods, wrapped in a blanket of pleasant exhaustion and pure happiness.
