Fantasy Novel: Angels of the Visionary World, Episode 2(14) (In Central Asia)

Three young people, two men and a woman, arrived from Japan on a low-cost airline flight at Kushi International Airport in Urgshk. It was 2:00 PM in local time. They were Shinohara Sena, Kita Jin, and Minami Ryo. Each of them was walking through the airport arrivals lobby, carrying a large suitcase on a cart.

They were making their way toward the airport exit, chatting occasionally as they went. Ryo, dressed casually in a checked cotton shirt and jeans, pushed his luggage cart while peering curiously around the nondescript airport building. Shinohara Sena and Kita Jin were dressed in suits as if they were on a job hunt, and both had serious expressions on their faces as they pushed carts loaded with large luggage.
Sena and Ryo loaded the suitcases they had brought from Japan into a large taxi waiting near the airport exit and set off. Their destination was Urgshk National University, about a 30-minute drive from the airport. Carrying only a small amount of carry-on luggage,Jin boarded the airport bus heading straight for downtown Kushi.

Urgshk National University is a comprehensive university with a vast campus on a hill in the outskirts of Kushi, and is home to both humanities and science and chemistry faculties. It also has an affiliated general hospital adjacent to the campus.The history lab where Shinohara Mika and her husband Yusuf work is located is at the very end of a row of buildings. Professor Wang's lab in the School of Science and Chemistry is also located in the same building.
Sena and Ryo took a taxi from the airport, driving all around the campus before finally arriving at the building where Professor Wang's lab is located. Ryo couldn't help but express his amazement, commenting that it was huge compared to the compact Kamakura University.
Sena and Ryo got out of the taxi at the entrance to the campus. Sena told Ryo briefly, "Stay here then," and went inside the building with only one piece of luggage. Ryo got back into the taxi.

The Urgshk National University campus was an ordinary concrete building, but upon entering, it was quite old, with cracks here and there in the concrete walls. The building Sena entered was a research wing that only housed laboratories. Inside, she could see a row of wooden doors lined up along the corridor. Each door had a number and the name tag of the lab director attached to it. The doors had small glass windows that allowed a view into each lab.
Sena reached the middle of the long corridor and found a room with a name tag that read Prof.WAN. Peering inside through the window in the door, she saw a small, chubby Asian man in a white coat operating a tablet computer alone at a table in the center of the room. At a glance, Sena was certain it was Professor Wang.Sena knocked on the door and heard a voice say, "Please come in."
As Sena entered, the man in the white coat operated the tablet computer.
"I'm Professor Wang," a voice came from the tablet.
"You must be Sena, the younger sister of Mika, who e-mailed me the other day. Nice to meet you. I'll be using simultaneous interpretation, so please speak in Japanese as usual," the voice on the tablet continued.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Sena, Mika's younger sister," Sena said, following suit and speaking awkwardly as if adjusting to the machine. Professor Wang's native Chinese seemed to be displayed on the tablet, and after reading it for a moment, he tapped the tablet.
"Welcome. Excuse me, but you don't look very similar to Mika," the voice on the tablet said.Sena replied.
"That's right. We're sisters, but we are not related by blood."
"Really? I'm sorry for asking something unnecessary. By the way, what can I do for you?"
"After I received my sister's letter from you, Professor Wang, I received another letter from my sister."
Wang looked surprised for a moment, but then his expression returned to its usual seriousness.
"That can't be... But what was it?"
"It said that Mika and Professor Yusuf are currently conducting research and need some ancient documents stored in a temple in Kamakura. so she would like me to bring them to Urgshk. Professor Wang knows where she is, so she would like me to consult you."
Wang thought for a moment, then quickly typed the information into his tablet.
"Unfortunately, I don't know where Mika is. I don't have any contact information. I did send some things I found when I was cleaning out Professor Yusuf's lab to her family, though."
Sena said, sounding disappointed.
"I see. I also brought the package Mika asked me to bring. the letter said that this would greatly advance Mika and Yusuf's research."
