寓話「ひき逃げ」/ Fable: “Hit and Run”

これはあるひき逃げ犯の供述である This is the testimony of a certain hit-and-run offender.

「私、何も悪いことなんてしてません。 “I haven’t done anything wrong at all.
横断歩道を赤信号なのに渡ってた人がいただけです。 There was just someone crossing the crosswalk against a red light.
私は信号が青だったので、そのまま走っただけです。 My light was green, so I just kept driving.
私が歩行者を轢いたんじゃありません。 I didn’t hit the pedestrian.
歩行者が勝手に私の車にぶつかってきたんです。 The pedestrian ran into my car on their own.
赤信号は渡っちゃいけないのがルールですよね？ The rule is you’re not supposed to cross on a red light, right?
私は青信号だから進んだだけです。 I only went ahead because my light was green.
ルールを破ったのは、横断歩道渡ってた人ですよね？ The one who broke the rule is the one who crossed the crosswalk, right?
私はルールを守ったので、だから何も悪くないです。」 I followed the rules, so I haven’t done anything wrong.”
