日時：2026年6月7日（日）9:30開会宣言（9:00受付開始）
場所：岩手県一関市室根町矢越字山古沢94-7
　　　「ひこばえの森交流センター」前広場
参加費：無料（どなたでもご参加いただけます）

日時：前日の6月6日（土）15:00より
場所：同会場（ひこばえの森交流センター）
※会員の皆さまには、追って郵送にてお知らせいたします。
※当日ご入会でもご参加いただけます。
※総会終了後は懇親会も予定しております！

畠山重篤が旅立ってから、1年が経ちました。

けれども私たちには、いまもふと事務局の扉を開けて、いつもの笑顔で現れそうに思える瞬間があります。
晩年まで全国を巡って講演を続け、書斎では体験学習を終えた子どもたちの感想文に目を通し、ときどき事務局に立ち寄っては、出張先のお土産と、少し可笑しくてあたたかな土産話を届けてくれました。
重篤の得意技は、「つなげること」でした。
森と海をつなぐ。
自然と人をつなぐ。
人と人をつなぐ。
ときには文化や宗教さえもつないでいく。
そして、その思いや記録を言葉として残すことを、とても大切にしていました。
いまも膨大な資料やメモが残されています。
それらには、重篤が後の時代へ手渡そうとした思いが刻まれています。
私たちはその思いを受けとめ、少しずつ見やすい形に整えながら、多くの皆さまにご覧いただけるよう準備してまいります。
そして今年も、「森は海の恋人植樹祭」を開催いたします。
重篤が生涯をかけて伝え続けた「森と海のつながり」を、今年も皆さまとともに確かめる一日にしたいと思います。
今年も山に木を植え、海の未来へつないでまいります。
重篤がつないできた思いを、これからの世代へ。
みなさま、どうぞ足をお運びください。

Announcement: The 38th Mori wa Umi no Koibito Tree-Planting Festival
Sunday, June 7, 2026 | Opening Ceremony at 9:30 AM
It has been one year since Shigeatsu Hatakeyama passed away.
And yet, there are still moments when we find ourselves imagining the office door opening, and his familiar smile appearing once again.
Even in his later years, he continued traveling across Japan to give lectures. In his study, he would read through the reflections written by children after experiential learning programs. From time to time, he would stop by the office, bringing souvenirs from his travels along with stories that were always a little amusing, and always warm.

Shigeatsu had a gift for connecting things.
Connecting forests and the sea.
Connecting nature and people.
Connecting people with one another.
At times, even connecting cultures and religions.
He also placed great importance on leaving those thoughts and records behind in words.
Even now, a vast number of documents and notes remain.
Within them are the thoughts he hoped to pass on to the generations that would follow.
We are receiving that legacy with care, and are gradually preparing it in a form that can be shared more widely and read by many people.
And this year once again, we will hold the Mori wa Umi no Koibito Tree-Planting Festival.
We hope it will be a day when, together with all of you, we can reaffirm the connection between forests and the sea that Shigeatsu devoted his life to sharing.
This year as well, we will plant trees in the mountains and carry that hope forward to the future of the sea.
May the connections Shigeatsu built be carried on to the generations to come.

Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 3:00 PM
Venue: Same location (Hikobae no Mori Exchange Center)
Current members will receive a separate notice by mail.
Those who join on the day are also welcome to attend.
A social gathering is planned after the assembly.
