my soulful essay April 23

Beyond the "Correct Answer": Living by the Universe's Commands

In the culture I was raised in, seeking the "correct answer" was everything. In Japan, especially during the "Earth Era" and before the pandemic, making a mistake was often viewed as a failure or even a source of shame. We were educated to believe that there was only one right path.

However, I have come to realize that the process matters so much more than the result.

I want to say this: It is okay to make many mistakes. In fact, it's necessary. When we obsess over being "correct," we become paralyzed and unable to move. When you truly live in the "Now," the concept of a mistake disappears. You start to realize that there was never a "wrong" choice to begin with.

The Universe constantly triggers the unexpected. It is impossible to predict what’s next.

Today, something truly unexpected happened to me. These days, I’ve been practicing a new way of living: acting instantly on my intuition.

Out of nowhere, I felt a sudden urge to give a gift to someone I don’t particularly get along with. Until today, the idea hadn't crossed my mind even for a second. But I followed that spark, went out to buy a gift, and handed it to them.

They were, understandably, very surprised. But to me, that sudden thought was a "Command from the Universe," so I simply acted on it.

The result? Instead of things becoming awkward, the atmosphere shifted into one of unexpected harmony. I had zero expectations from them. It wasn't about the reaction; it was just about executing a flash of inspiration.

This is how I live now—calmly and steadily acting on whatever pops into my mind. Logic has nothing to do with it.

Messages or commands from the Universe arrive suddenly. They come as an impulsive surge of motivation, an uncontrollable urge to move. When that happens, it is undoubtedly a sign from the Universe saying, "Move now."

At that point, it doesn't matter if it's pouring rain outside. You just go.
