英語の勉強をしようと前向きな気持ちになることは、いいことです。
It is generally good to have a positive attitude to study something.

しかしこの発想が間違った方向にエネルギーを注ぎ込み、自らをネガティブなスパイラルへと落とし込むことがあります。
But, “to study English” is not always a good thing. It may lead you in the wrong direction because “to study English” may waste your time and energy. Also, you may be thrown into a negative spiral.

思い出してください。あなたがいま望んでいるのは、優れたグローバルビジネスパーソンになることですね。それなのに「語学力としての優れた英語」を身につけようと思うと、ろくなことはありません。
Remember your purpose. What you want is to be a good businessperson, not to be a master of English. So, it is useless for you to try to master “excellent and native-like” English.

語学を磨くよりも「英語で仕事をする力」を身につけることにエネルギーを集中すべきです。
Instead, you should put your energy into mastering the way to do business in English.

たんなる英語力と、英語でのビジネススキルとは、まったくの別物です。この意識を持つと、最短で「英語で仕事ができる」ようになります。
The ability of doing business in English is essentially different from the ability of mastering “School English”. To realize this fact is essential for you to do business globally.
