国宝』ヘアメイクチームは、

現地時間1月10日(土)にロサンゼルスで行われたアカデミー協会公式イベント Bake Off に参加しました。

イベントでは、『国宝』の50年に渡る人物像の作り方や、歌舞伎の鬘や白塗りの歴史などについて、現地の映画業界に携わる方々に語り、大きな反響を得ていました。

アメリカのアカデミー賞にノミネートされた事は本当に喜ばしい限りです。

他作品のヘア&メイキャップがとても素晴らしかったのでノミネートされた事は素晴らしいです。

この映画には欠かせない歌舞伎シーンでの白塗りのメイク、歌舞伎かつらが評価された事を喜ばしく思います。

そして 50 年間の人生の流れの表現も評価して頂けた事がとても嬉しいです。

この作品に携われた事を幸せに思います。監督、プロデューサー、全スタッフ、そしてキャストの皆様に感謝致します。

I'm truly happy to have been nominated for an Academy Award.

My hair and makeup have been amazing in my other films, so I'm really happy to have been nominated.

I'm also delighted that this film was recognized for its white makeup in the kabuki scenes, kabuki itself,

and for its portrayal of the flow of life over a 50-year period.

I am happy to have been involved in this film. I would like to thank the director, producers, all the staff, and everyone in the cast.

The "National Treasure" hair and makeup team

participated in the Academy's official Bake Off event, which was held extensively on Saturday, January 10th (local time).

At the event, they spoke with people from across the local film industry about how they created the characters in "National Treasure" over the past 50 years, the history of kabuki wigs and shironuri (white face makeup), and more, and were very impressed.
