イスラエルとパレスチナ、日本の若者らが８日、長崎市の原爆資料館を見学し、平和について思いを語り合った。１５日間の交流プログラムで、主催する東京のＮＰＯ法人の担当者は「衣食住を共にし、話し合うことで、互いの平和への思いを知ってほしい」と願う。
イスラエル人のエリヤシブ・ニューマンさん（２７）は被爆者の証言ビデオを食い入るように見つめ、静かに涙を拭った。自国の核兵器について「長崎が受けたような壊滅的な被害が起きてほしくない。今日見たことを友人や家族にも伝えたい」と語った。
