6年生、最初のテスト前日

明日は、6年生になって最初の大きなテスト「合不合判定テスト」。

5年生のときは、志望校も「とりあえず並べる」という感覚だったけれど、
6年生になると一気に現実味が出てきて、実際の受験日程を意識した学校選びが必要になる。

日程が重ならないように考えるだけでも、思っていた以上に難しかった。

ここにきて、受験というものが少しずつ具体的な形を持ち始めている気がする。

5年生の後期あたりから、テスト前日はお弁当を持って自習室にこもるようになった。

今日も朝は外で少し体を動かしてから、10時ごろには自習室へ向かっていった。

春休みの講習を経て、勉強量も増えているし、
本人の中でも「受験生」という意識が少しずつ出てきているように見える。

それでも、本人は「みんな頑張ってるから差はつかないと思う」と言う。

その言葉が、謙虚なのか、現実を見ているのか、まだよくわからない。

同じようにこの時期を過ごしているご家庭も多いと思う。
それぞれのペースで、進んでいけたらいいなと思う。

We are in the final year of junior high school entrance exams in Japan (2027).

You might not believe it, but my son studies almost all day before big tests.
When he first started going to juku, I never imagined this level of commitment, and I wasn’t even sure why it would be necessary.
But the environment and the shared goal of going through the “Juken” process have gradually changed both of us.

Also, choosing schools is more complicated than it may seem.
Most exams take place within about one week (at least in the Tokyo and Kanagawa area), and there are many schools to choose from.
Scheduling is often considered one of the most important factors in this process.
