さーてどうしょうかね？？

この暑さの中での農業、
どうして行こうかねー？

全国各地での高温。

①日中は暑過ぎて外に出られない。
＝5:30-9:30 & 17:00-19:30勤務
②野菜たちはすぐ傷む。
＝収量が減る＝収入が減る

長期間、雨が降らない状況。

①土づくりが進められない。
＝冬野菜の準備ができない
＝冬の収入どうなる？！
②野菜たちは喉がカラカラ。
＝栄養が吸収できず、順当に成長できない
＝収量が減る＝収入が減る

お天道様ー！！！！
どうか夕立をくださーい('◉⌓◉’)

でーもさ、
これって操作できるのもではないやん？

ってことはー。
こちらがどうにか行動をするしかない。

さーてどうする？？

今期のミニトマトは・・・

・赤くなりづらかった。
・日差しが強くて、柔らかくなるのが
　早く、一週間ほど収穫期間が短くなった。
・全体的に収量が減った。
（一概に暑さのせいだけではないんだろうけど）

今期のオクラは・・・

・雨が降らないため
　水分が足りず、小さいまま硬くなりやすい。
・まだ栽培初期なのに葉が小さくなってきている。

だーいじょぶか！？
これは本気で考えて行動しないと
まじで農業経営
やばくなってくるんじゃないか？！

自然相手の仕事はすごい。
自分が言うのもなんやけど、
ほんと、自然相手の仕事はすごい。

むずい。

これを、生活かけてやるんよね、農家って。

新規就農した身だからよく分かる。

農業で生きていくって簡単じゃない。

この事実が
少しでも多くの野菜の消費者さんに
伝わってくれると良いなあー。

So, what should we do?

Farming in this heat,
How should we proceed?

High temperatures are hitting areas across the country.
① It's too hot to go outside during the day.
= 5:30-9:30 AM & 5:00-7:30 PM shifts.
② Vegetables spoil easily.
= Reduced yield = Reduced income.

No rain for a long period of time.
① We can't make progress on soil preparation.
= Unable to prepare winter vegetables.
= What will happen to our winter income?!
② Vegetables are thirsty.
= Unable to absorb nutrients and grow properly.
= Reduced yield = Reduced income.

Oh, dear sun!!! Please give us a rain shower! ('◉⌓◉')

But,
This isn't something we can control, right?

That means...
We have no choice but to do something.

So what should I do? ?

This season's cherry tomatoes...

• They were slow to turn red.

• The strong sun caused them to soften quickly, shortening the harvest period by about a week.

• The overall yield decreased.
  (Though it's probably not entirely due to the heat.)

This season's okra...

• Due to the lack of rain, they're not getting enough moisture, so they tend to remain small and tough.

• The leaves are getting smaller even though it's still early in the growing season.

Is this okay!?
If we don't think about this seriously and act accordingly, won't our farming operations really start to get out of hand?!

Working with nature is amazing.
I hate to say it myself, but
working with nature is really amazing.

It's difficult.

Farmers put their livelihood on the line for this.

As a new farmer, I understand all too well.

Making a living off farming isn't easy.

I hope this truth
will reach as many vegetable consumers as possible.
