Staple bread: 70 yen difference
When I'm at home, I eat staple bread for breakfast. Since I'm mostly at home, that means I eat staple bread almost every day. I used to eat two slices of bread, each 6 slices, but now I eat two slices of bread, each 8 slices. It all started in the summer when I lost my appetite due to the heat.
Since I eat a loaf in four days, I buy a slightly more expensive loaf of bread with wheat germ. One day, the loaf I usually buy was out of stock, so I bought a loaf of bread that was 70 yen cheaper. This was also a brand that I had been eating until a few years ago.
I was surprised when I ate it. It was empty. It wasn't like that when I ate it before. I wonder if a mouse had nibbled on it. It was full of holes, and I wonder how it could keep its shape.
I read an article about a person who ordered pizza for the first time in a while and was surprised at how little toppings were on it. I wonder if the practice of skimping on the toppings without raising the price is widespread.
