🛸 火星リフト・ログ 06：火星小マリンバクラブ（Mars Mini Marimba Club）マリンバ狂想曲

第3ドームの旧保育ユニット跡地で、
**“ミニ・マリンバ・クラブ”**はこっそり活動している。
正式な登録団体ではなく、居住区の若者たちが拾い集めた素材でマリンバを自作し、時々集まって音を鳴らすだけの、ゆるやかな音楽サークル。

木材は地球から運ばれた建築廃材、パイプは古い農業水路から、そしてバチは3Dプリンタで再利用樹脂から作られている。

火星では、音を出すということがそもそも「贅沢」だ。空気は薄く、音は拡がりにくい。でも、このドームの一角では、かすかな振動が空に届いている。

リーダー役の少年は、名前を「ティモ」と名乗った。地球のどこ出身かも分からない彼は、火星語と旧英語と日本語を混ぜたような言葉で「ここにはルールないから自由だよ」と笑う。

演奏する曲は、即興だったり、誰かの記憶に残っていたメロディだったりする。中には地球のTVアニメの主題歌らしき断片もあるが、すでにオリジナルの面影はほとんどない。
音が溶け、記憶が混ざり、まるで新しい文化が静かに芽生えているようだ。

彼らは言う。

「マリンバは、火星でいちばん優しい音がするんだ。
だから、ここに来た日を忘れないように、演奏する。」

“火星小マリンバクラブ”という名前も、ある日誰かがふと書いたメモに由来している。それが今ではドームの壁に掲げられ、ゆるやかな絆のしるしになっている。

音楽がなくても生きていけるかもしれない。
でも彼らは、それでは生きている気がしないのだ。

🛸 Mars Lift Log 06: Mars Mini Marimba Club（English）

In the ruins of an old childcare module in Dome 3, a small, secret group meets regularly.
They call themselves the Mars Mini Marimba Club.

It’s not an official organization.
Just a gathering of settlers — mostly teens and young adults — who build their own marimbas from salvaged materials and play music together in a corner of the dome.

The wood comes from Earthside construction scraps. The pipes were once part of an agricultural water system. The mallets? 3D-printed from recycled polymers.
On Mars, even the act of creating sound is a kind of rebellion — air is thin, sound doesn’t carry far.
But here, in this pocket of quiet resistance, the vibrations still reach upward.

Their informal leader calls himself Timo. No one knows where he was born — maybe not even him.
He laughs in a blend of Martian pidgin, old English, and Japanese:

“No rules here. That’s why it’s real.”

The songs they play are improvised, or pulled from fragmented memories.
Some resemble the remnants of old Earth cartoons or pop melodies — but stripped of context, they’ve become something new.
Sound blends with recollection. Memory becomes music.
And from it, a soft, unspoken culture begins to take root.

They say:

“The marimba makes the gentlest sound on Mars.
That’s why we play — so we never forget the day we arrived.”

The name “Mars Mini Marimba Club” was scrawled on a note once, casually.
Now it hangs on the dome wall — a simple symbol of shared time, of chosen family.

Sure, you could survive on Mars without music.
But they say:

“Without this, it wouldn’t feel like we’re living at all.”
