冠詞のない複数名詞と冠詞のある複数名詞を、それぞれ1つの文にいれた英文を5パターンで違いを見てみたいと思う

例文①：Dogs / the dogs

Dogs are amazing animals, but the dogs next door bark all night.
犬という動物は素晴らしいが、隣の犬たちは一晩中吠えている。

▶ 「dogs」は動物一般を指す（普遍的）。「the dogs」は話し手・聞き手の共通認識にある特定の犬たち。

例文②：Books / the books

Books can change your life, but the books on that shelf are just for decoration.
本は人生を変える力があるが、あの棚の本はただの飾りだ。

▶ 「books」は全般的な本を意味する。対して「the books」は場所で特定された本を指す。

例文③：Students / the students

Students should learn to think critically, and the students in my class are starting to do that.
学生は批判的に考える力を身につけるべきだが、僕のクラスの生徒たちはそれを始めつつある。

▶ 前半は一般論、後半は特定集団（話者のクラス）について述べている。

例文④：Cars / the cars

Cars have made travel faster, but the cars parked outside are blocking the entrance.
車は移動を速くしたが、外に停まっている車は入口をふさいでいる。

▶ 「cars」は技術や文明としての車、「the cars」は目の前にある車。

例文⑤：Children / the children

Children learn languages quickly, and the children at today’s workshop amazed everyone.
子どもは言語をすばやく習得するが、今日のワークショップにいた子どもたちは皆を驚かせた。

▶ 一般性（children）と具体性（the children）を対比させたパターン。
