①③⑤【意外と短パンも安く売ってない】

イギリスはまだまだ暑い日が続いている。
以前どこかの記事で書いたが、
イギリスではほとんどの家に冷房も暖房もなく
私の家にももちろんない。
自分の部屋にいるだけで
汗をかいてしまうようなそんな状況なのだが、
日本からはあまり多く
短パンを持ってこなかった。
暑すぎて汗をいっぱい書くので、
もうあと何着か短パンが欲しいと思い、
Primarkに行った。
すると、
￡3~6ほどで買えるパンツがたくさんあり、
このくらいだったら数着買っても安く済むぞ
と思ってみていると、どうも様子がおかしい。
内側の生地や触り心地、
super dry pantsと記載されたタグをみて、
これはもしかして
海水パンツだということに気づいた。笑
サイズ感は申し分ないし、
夏に向けてすぐに乾くとかであれば
意外と便利かと、
購入を検討はした。
しかし、明らかにどう見ても海パンだ。
中はメッシュ生地で
パンツははいた方が良いのかなど
そんなことを考えていたら、
これはなんか違うなと思い始めた。
誰が気にするでもなし、
別に海パンを日常生活で履いていたところで
問題はないだろう。
けど、なんか違うなと思ったので、
もう少し他のお店も見て
安く短パンが購入できる場所がないかを
確かめてみようと思った。

The hot weather is still continuing here in the UK. As I mentioned in a previous post, most homes in the UK don't have air conditioning, and many don't even have proper cooling systems. Of course, my house doesn't have one either.
It's so hot that I start sweating just by sitting in my room. Since I didn't bring many pairs of shorts from Japan, I decided to go to Primark to buy a few more.
When I got there, I found lots of shorts for only £3 to £6. I thought, "At these prices, I can easily buy a few pairs." But then something seemed a little strange.
The material felt different, and I noticed a tag that said "Super Dry Pants." That's when I realized they were actually swimming shorts. 😂
To be honest, the size was perfect, and I thought they might actually be useful because they dry quickly in the summer. So I did consider buying them.
But the more I looked at them, the more I realized they were obviously swim shorts. They had a mesh lining inside, and I even started wondering whether I should wear underwear with them.
In the end, I thought, "No, this isn't quite what I'm looking for."
Of course, nobody would really care if I wore swim shorts in everyday life. It's not like there's anything wrong with that.
Still, it just didn't feel right to me, so I decided to check a few other shops to see if I could find some regular shorts at a reasonable price instead.
