言葉の変化と変質と言う事について南河内郡太子町で考えてみました。

日本経済新聞2026年6月23日火曜日朝刊「次々と登場する「新たな言葉」、古い言語消滅のリスク、 政治や結婚、移民も背景に」 を読みまして。
市町村の枠を超え、また国境の枠を超え、人々が接触する機会が増え続ける現代において、言葉が変化し変質していくのは避けがたいことです。
しかし、 言葉のあり方がどの方向性に変わるかという問題に対して、私たちは今、比較言語学、構造主義言語学、そして現代の大言語モデル（LLM）といった、言語の多面性を吸収しうる重層的な手段を土台として手に入れています。言語の基本的なあり方についての客観的な方向性は、大言語モデルあるいはAIを通じても、相当なレベルまで観測（あるいは把握）可能であると思われます。
かつて欧州の植民地化に伴い、ピジンやクレオールの形成、語彙の借用と意味の伸縮といった「言語変形」の歴史が繰り返し起きました。これを考慮に入れるならば、今後の社会でどのような哲学やイデオロギー、言論のあり方が支配的になり、場合によっては人間がそれに対して従属せざるを得なくなるか、という文化的支配の問題も生じてくるのが 今後の社会背景にあると考えます。
そんな中で、AIは「標準的で最大公約数的な文法や語彙」を推奨することで、言語の過度な崩壊を防ぐ「強力な防波堤（ブレーキ）」として機能する一方、新しいスラングを瞬時に学習して拡散させる「加速装置（アクセル）」にもなりえます。この二面性については、まさにその通りだと理解し認識するべきだと考えます。
ですが、言葉の本質には「人間固有の受け止め」という領域が確実に存在します。そこから発生するであろう新たな言葉の息吹に対し、教育や地方公共団体はどのような役割を果たせるのでしょうか。さまざまな国に住み、言葉の 使われ方を肌で感じてきた一人の人間として、また現在は地方に生きる一生活人として、私は言葉の行く末を見定めるために、これからも自らの言葉を誠実に磨き続けていきたいと考えています。
In our increasingly globalised world, language inevitably evolves as people cross local and national borders. Today, however, we possess a multi-layered framework to understand this complexity—ranging from comparative and structural linguistics to Large Language Models (LLMs). Through AI, we can now monitor the objective trajectory of language with remarkable precision.
History demonstrates that linguistic transformation is rarely neutral; as seen in the emergence of pidgins and creoles during European colonisation, language shifts are often intertwined with geopolitical dominance and ideological subjection. In this digital era, AI functions dualistically: it acts as a stabilising brake, preventing linguistic fragmentation by promoting standardised grammar, yet simultaneously serves as an accelerator that rapidly propagates new slang.
Nevertheless, the core of language resides within the uniquely human capacity for emotional resonance and perception. Amidst these shifting tides, it is crucial to consider how educational institutions and local authorities can safeguard this human element. Having lived in diverse cultural environments and now residing in a rural community, I remain committed to refining my own language with utmost sincerity, carefully observing where the future of human speech will lead.
