We open up the lens and can't stop.

++ Application ++

+ Name: Erin.
+ Age: 21 (and invincible)!
+ Sex: Female.
+ Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia (but I'm a military brat, so I've lived in lots of places).
+ Favorite colors: If I had to pick, blue and red.
+ A few of your fav-o-rite things: Aside from raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens? Reading, late night IHOP visits, speeding on the highway with the window down and music playing.
+ Some things you don't like: Cologne used in a (failed) attempt to cover body odor, not knowing the answer in class.
+ Tell us about your camera: It's a Kodak Easyshare Z740, 5 megapixel, 10x optical zoom. I wanted a digital SLR, but hey, I'm poor and this was a christmas present. I won't argue.
+ What do you mostly take pictures of?: Whatever catches my eye. Buildings and nature, I guess.
+ Describe yourself, make it interesting: I lived in England for four years while I was a teenager, and since that was where I had the best memories, I consider that my home. I kind of hate that because not only do I always feel restless and nostalgic for a place that is hard for me to travel to, but people seem to think that I'm this wannabe Anglophile who's never been outside of her hometown. Right now I work in a one hour photo lab, developing out of focus shots of two year old's birthday parties, and I'm going to school in the hopes that someday somebody will think it's a good idea to pay me for going to concerts. And I love my dog.
+ Tell us your favorite childhood memory:I was four and living in Hawaii, and it was my birthday. My dad had juuuuust returned from a six month cruise (one of the rare times he was actually home), and my entire family and I went to the beach in lieu of having a party at home and just had fun together. It's not that interesting to read about, but to me at least, the small things mean a lot.
+ If you could have three wishes, what would they be?: For all my debt to be paid off, because it stresses me out a lot. For my handwriting to be a little more legible so that I can actually read the notes I take in class, and for world peace the rest of the soldiers overseas in the middle east to make it back home safely, without incident.
+ What are a few things that are most important to you?: My car, without it I would be stuck at home, being slowly driven insane. My brother, because he's always around when I need him to be. My education, I like to learn and want to know as much as possible about everything.
+ What is YOUR definition of photography?:Having the ability to stop time and carry a piece of that moment you froze along with you.
+ Post a few pictures (at least one of yourself - no more than 7 pictures):

morning rushhour. maybe cliche, but I like it.

in some random parking garage.

i was walking through the woods behind my house and found this decrepit old dresser with a popup mirror back there.

among other things.

+ And last, WHY should we accept you? From the unlocked entries that I can see, you all have some real talent, and I'd like to learn from you.

okay, I am honestly fine with no answers. But why? Am I just boring? Too lacking in colour / composition, etc? If this is the elite community the userinfo makes it out to be, how come taking ten seconds to explain why you are better than me is not coming?
