The characters in this sitcom were a excellent match for storyline of the series. The chemistry had the precise amount of elements to make it perfect.

This has to be one of the best shows ever released. The network released the episodes out of order which made it confusing, but the fans still Loved it so much that we all signed a petition to bring it back. The movie Serenity was released to help wrap it up for us & it was out of this world.

I've lost count of how many people I turned on to Firefly. This was an amazing series and heartbreaking to see it end. I still follow all the characters in their current roles. That's how good it was.
I was grateful for Serenity. I had hoped that it would kindle interest in bringing back Firefly.

I liked the show from the start. I also watched the movie "Serenity". If Joss decided to make a follow-up movie, I'd be waiting for its premier!

Firefly is the best written scify show ever written and all of the characters and actors are awesome. I wanted this series to come back so badly. Josh Wheden is the best writer ever. Anyone who watches this will be a browncoat for life. There are so many little details Josh wrote into this script that name it for awesome. The fact that American and Chinese language kind of merge in the future. They still use guns. Especially on the poorer planets. I can go on and on. I signed up to Hulu just to watch this.

The best sci fi show ever. Wish they would have at least did a second season, as the books leave so much more material to work with after season 1 and after Serenity.

Watched it, loved it, hated that it got cancelled. Finally watched it again in the intended order, I'd never have thought it would make so much difference. The emotional impact of the evolving respect and understanding between Mal and Inara in particular was much more intense, the progression of River's story, the betrayal by Jane, our first meeting with Kaylee, on and on it was an amazing and beautiful set of character development, wonderfully delivered by the actors. Such a shame that Fox screwed it up so badly.

Firefly is actually the class of ship that’s called Serenity( which is the name of the made for TV movie based on the series that provides a BIG explanation of a core plot point towards the end of it. This movie should be watched AFTER you have seen the series but still stands alone as a great SyFy offering. I would classify this genre as a dual universe of Science fiction with a Western flavor. This is very heavily character driven with the ability to pull the viewer into the universe of its well written and directed scenes. Subtle humor is a staple also with action adventure as its prime narrative. To me and all of the cult following, it is a must see series that is very, very engaging as well as entertaining a series as you will find

I liked the tv series guted when it was cancelled loved serenity just brilliant from the start the cast were fantastic a really good mix of action comedy science fiction

So much potential. As first seasons go, Firefly was epic. A rollercoaster of emotions, proper sci-fi but also grounded and human. The characters were perfectly cast.
It's hard not to love and us Browncoats have never forgiven Fox.

Great show way to short.Shows what executives know, it's all about instant gratification instead of letting a show build. Great actors good blend of humor, action and the scariest people in space revers make zombies look like wimps Almost forgot showing my age good to see Ron Glass from Barney Miller

Pure Joss Genius! I’ve been watching and loving Firefly since I was introduced to it in 2006. I haven’t met many Browncoats but when you do….you know. It is truly special. Can’t wait the see the animated series coming out soon!

Space: Above & Beyond should've made this list. It also lasted just one season but had the potential to be a top tier series.
