Giovanni Gentile

Giovanni Gentile (29 May 1875 – 15 April 1944) was an Italian philosopher and politician who was Minister of Education under Benito Mussolini. He developed a form of philosophy called actual idealism. Gentile helped Mussolini write his ideas about Fascism, and Mussolini called Gentile the “philosopher of Fascism.” He was assassinated in 1944.
