Megas XLR is an American animated series created by Jody Schaeffer and George Krstic and produced at Cartoon Network Studios for broadcast on the Cartoon Network. The series centers on a mechanical robot named Coop and his best friend Jamie, who found him in a junkyard in New Jersey.[1][2]
Characters
[change | change source]- Harold "Coop" Cooplowski (voiced by David DeLuies) is the leader of Megas. Coop has short, blond hair with side slits, and he wears a red jacket with cropped sleeves and a white t-shirt. Coop is very fat and loves to eat and drink iced juice. Coop lives with his mother in the house. His room is in the garage where he also keeps Megas. Coop is obsessed with video games and is very good at them. That's why he made one of the tools for guiding and controlling M.E.G.A.S. (Mechanized Earth Guard Attack System) in the form of a controller similar to the one in video games. Coop is very joking and loves to tell jokes.
- Jaime (Voiced by Steven Blum) is Coop's best friend. He wears a blue hat and has black hair. He wears a black jacket on the outside and a green one on the inside, and wears blue jeans. Jaime is thin and looks carefree, but he is very scared and is always described as a coward. Jaime likes to always sit next to Coop in the front seat. He is always laughing at Coop's jokes. He and Coop have been raised since they were little, and he has no other friends.
- Kiva Andru (Voiced by Wendee Lee) is a girl who came from the future, born in 3012 AD, Kiva is the one who designed M.E.G.A.S (Mechanized Earth Guard Attack System) and is supposed to lead it. Kiva is strong and skilled in martial arts. She has red hair and wears pants attached to a white and sky-blue shirt. Kiva is one of the leaders of humanity in the war and is trained to lead machines, but because of the modification that Coop made to Megas, she did not know how to control it, so she entrusted the task to Coop
- Goat (Voiced by Scott Reinker) is the owner of the dumpster where Coop found Megas. He used to sell everything for a dollar there, and that's what happened with Megas. Coop bought him, repaired him, and modified him. From that moment on, Jot dreams of finding a robot like Megas, so he is always looking for a robot similar to him.
- Gorrath (Voiced by Clancy Brown) is the leader of the aliens, the "Glorft". He is green in color and has a chin from which worm-like appendages protrude. His eyes are red without pupils. He hates Coop intensely. He and his army traveled back in time with Megas and tried to destroy Earth in the past, but Coop confronted him. This is the reason for his intense hatred of Coop and his continuous attempts to destroy Megas, but all his attempts failed.
- Glorft Assistant (Voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson) is Gorrath's assistant, who differs from Gorrath in that his color is reddish-liver. He always obeys his leader, but Gorrath always shouts at him, which is why he hates his leader.
