Fandom meme 2016
Okay, so that wasn't a nap. That was a $100 trip to the emergency vet and it turned out the dog had a burr in her paw. Lovely.
But now it's the fandom meme!
1. Your main fandom of the year?
Marvel Comics. Yep. Still here.
2. Your favorite film you watched this year?
I don't think I saw that many movies this year. Arrival? I guess? The new Trek movie wasn't that bad either. I mean, it was better than the previous one.
3. Your favorite book read this year?
*checks goodreads* I'm gonna go with Ancillary Mercy. That was fun.
4. Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?
Well, there was a month where basically the only thing I listened to was the Depeche Mode song "In Your Room," as I wrote my Cap-IM RBB fic.
5. Your favorite TV show of the year?
Did I watch anything? I liked Jessica Jones, I guess. It was very tense. We're watching Yuri on Ice now, but I'm sick and I keep falling asleep.
6. Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
I don't think I'm in any new fandoms this year. Hmm. I really liked Jessica Jones. Was that this year? I can't remember.
7. Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
Hydra Cap continues to disappoint me. Thanks, Marvel.
8. Your fandom boyfriend of the year?
I think once again this honor has to go to 616 Tony Stark.
9. Your fandom girlfriend of the year?
It would be Carol Danvers, except Civil War II happened, ugh. Let's go with Squirrel Girl.
10. Your biggest squee moment of the year?
My current favorite thing in Marvel is the Kooky Quartet miniseries. So much nostalgia. Also I like that comic about the lesbians in Wakanda.
11. The most missed of your old fandoms?
I still miss Eagle & Sutcliff fandom. Those were good times.
12. The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to?
I don't know. I need to watch all those Marvel Netflix shows.
13. Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?
The hope that maybe they will get rid of Hydra Cap. He's evil and he's not even well written. Please.
I am so behind on comments and also reading anything. Sigh.
