Apparently this is the only solution currently to the crash when reaching this cinematic. I am playing the game from the XBOX app and I have the same problem, same graphics card too. I didn't want to reinstall my drivers so I used the Xbox cloud gaming function, since the save is saved in Xbox I was able to continue the campaign where I left off and advance. After going through the cinematic if I try to resume the game from the local PC version it just crashes on the loading screen.

My conclusion is that the end of chapter 4 and all of chapter 5 of act 2 are corrupt for this version of drivers, the only option is to rollback the drivers or use Xbox Cloud Gaming to pass the chapter on a virtual Xbox. I don't think this problem will be solved soon or maybe ever since we are a month away from Gears E-day being released.

Are you able to update the drivers and continue the game after getting into Act 3, or do you need to keep the downgraded drivers for the rest of Gears 5 campaign after the Act 2 phosphorous cutscene?

What a pain in the backside. You'd think this would've been fixed considering how old the game is.

Maybe no one has filed it, or probably the player count is low enough for them to care... imagine if this happened to... let's say valorant, it would be fixed the next day (at least I want to believe lol)

Very disappointing I was planning on getting the new Gears E-day game, but now I probably will not. If you pay for a game you should be able to play all of it, without playing around with drivers or they should say does not work with AMD graphic cards. I am not going to downgrade my drivers for one game. Shameful.

Fair but it could be too because of GPU drivers devs that break games.
