Question about online plane level/parts cost
Is it worth leveling something like my ADFX past level 10? I'm trying to determine how negatively plane the ever climbing plane cost effects mission rewards as the game's kinda vague about that.

I'm leveling it up to 15 and using it until I get that callsign and then it's back to looking pretty in my hangar. It still handles like a turd and the 15-20 upgrade is just stupid expensive. Better off saving those GBP's for end game aircrafts imo.
ADFX is a good starter plane. But as you have pointed out, even after a couple ranks, there are other planes that will basically have similar performance after lvling up some. But the biggest thing is having access to better SP weapons (e.g. GBP, UGBP basically performs the same as MPBM but better cool down and can be upgraded with parts).

Honestly it's kinda a trap to lvl the PIX to lvl 20, given the insane blueprint cost, but also for SP weapons that honestly are not that great nor can be upgraded. So probably good thing that you did not go through with sinking your resources beyond lvl 10.

I'd like to still play it some of the time, though. Just for the vibes and to show off my plane fashion on it if nothing else... Plus I do just think it's fun to use.

Unfortunately, neither of these answers answer the question I actually asked. The upgrade cost isn't my concern here. It's the cost of using the set in missions. The game does a poor job of explaining that part, but near as I can understand, the higher the listed price of a set, the less ZOLL you make per mission? If so, I'm trying to figure out how much worse it's gonna get if I upgrade it another five levels.

Believe the only difference is the respawn time and the amount of points enemy players get from you in the Warfare mode. Zoll payout is based on the score you accumulate in a match and rank clearance. So 40k points in an F4 is the same amount of zoll in if you get 40k points in a Morgan.

Does it dock you more points on death to go with giving the enemy more?

Actually you CAN upgrade the MPBM as it counts as both an antiground and Antiair missile. getting both the "Equip more of each type" part does increase your max by about half. But yeah overall the plane is mostly just a trap for the sake of loving ACZ.

The TLS in the right hands though can be a menace, plus you can use an ECM, which a lotta people are complaining about apparently, so it's really a "Learn to be good with this plane" kinda deal if you wanna go all in.
Hit level 15. The next unlock is ludicrous (90k money and 90 blueprints, if Im not wrong), so not worth right now.
