Bandai lied
They most likely wont make AC belkan war a separate app. It was all to stall the 14 day refund window for the last batch of pre-orders and keep you from talking about it. And it worked, no one mentioned the topic since their second announcement. All that to defend a lazy port.

Did you really pre ordered AC8 only for Zero and haven't played a minute yet because you're worried about not being able to refund it otherwise?

It's one of the reasons why I did.
Now listen I love AC8 but It is perfectly reasonable to be upset that they lied and did not separate the Belkan War. Their actions with this pre order bonus is wrong.

Even if i did then wheres the problem exactly? Did i do something illegal? They literally lied about it being standalone, them making annoucements makes it clear they know they messed up especially after editing the steam page. And you would be surprised by the amount of people pre-ordering ac8 just for the bonus, because again, it was supposed to be separate, on top of you cant even play it on steamdeck without 140gbs. My po was 8€ after a trade. That's nothing, i can live with this. Its clear they dont plan on doing anything aside from controlling the fallout and waiting, this will end up under a rug. And 14days is exactly the cash in. And people want us to thank them for a lazy port you cant even exit or launch properly, no achicement too.

I know it's not an ideal solution but you can just download the game on PC and then move the Zero folder onto a SteamDeck. Not an ideal solution but it works fine.
my god get over it. if you really just wanted zero you couldve just used a emulator and add it to steam. yes they said it was going to be standalone ,but at this point i really dont care about that anymore. the first day on pre release i cared but its just a nothing burger now. yes its sad we cant farm achievements on steam for it. and they still have the possibilty to make it a standalone launcher in the future. steam can hide games from the store if they cant be sold ,but you can still have them in your library

Theres no getting over it lmao, this a blatant lie, the page was edited last second. They would gain more respect but simply saying nothing went trough and it cant be made separate, instead they are not even owning up to it, leaving it silent. I cant stand that everybody ate this blatant lie. 10 days and no one mentioned it.

Yeah but you basically do what they were supposed to do. Especially when they clearly said "standalone". They are not even making update nr3. Consoles got it properly made, there is no excuse

No I was just wondering. I personally don't really care about it not being seperate since I'm pouring hours into AC8's multiplayer anyway. (Achievements for Zeroi would be cool tho and so would a return to desktop button) I just found it weird that you haven't played AC8 yet and have been holding off on playing it all this time because a 20 year old game that came for free with AC8 didn't came with a seperate steam library icon lol.

Yeah I get that and if they did a false advertisement on it then it's a scummy thing to do for sure. I don't know how it was listed here because I got the Joker edition directly from their store. AC0 being included for free was just a nice little bonus but I bought it for AC8. Not because I wanted to play Zero.
It did say:

"Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War is a standalone application separate from the Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve full game"

But it also said subject to change as well.

Plus SteamDB showed Zero being a DLC and not a separate app for about nine months.
Are you guys still overly mad about this?

How about you wait until their final statement or decision before making another useless topic?
They should be punished by remaking AC 3, 4, 5, Zero/Belkan War and maybe 6.
I thought this was a weird stance to take but it took some digesting to figure out why.
Feels like you're missing the forest for the trees here. I don't think Bandai is making any kind of play around the refund window, personally, but there's a bigger problem.

Why the hell's a PC port of AC0 stuck as a preorder bonus? They did the same thing with AC5, 'cept that one was stuck to the PS4 and they never went back on that. They should just sell these games with their own store pages and make it complimentary for those who own the DLC. I guess that would imply some level of ongoing support, or more Steam fees?

Either way, the three components to this game are the singleplayer, multiplayer, and this bolted-on Zero port. Of all three, I think the port is their lowest priority. Bamco probably prioritizes the online, and Project Aces the singleplayer. I'm not sure who's left stewarding the port.
