Can't control with controller
Hey,
Launched the game this morning, and found out that I can't control most of it with my Xbox Elite gamepad.

The things I've mapped so far:

Left+right triggers do not work.
A button doesn't work in menus, only for hailing.
Moving the ship around - only with keyboard.
Dpad doesn't work in dialogue.


It might have something to do with the fact I tried launching it with Steam Link yesterday. If that's the case, how can I reset it back to normal?

I have having the same issue. I played with Steam Link and now controllers are not working either with Steam Link or when connected directly on my PC. I tried to reset the controls but it's still not working.

Same issue in 2026. I can move my ship, but no other buttons mapped correctly. Cant navigate menus, dialogue, or anything else.

The solution was to enable Steam Input. However there are still several bugs selecting menu items and searching for systems. I would highly recommend just playing with a keyboard.

It's threads like this make me feel that it's too risky to buy any game that says it supports controller unless the game has a demo too try out first.
