RimWorld

Medieval Rim help
I want to do a medieval world in rim world and every time I try and run mods to do it I still get attacked by enemies with guns and lack the buildable to make it medieval. Any advice for what mods and settings to use to have a genuine medieval / privative rim world run?

You can try "World Tech Level".

With its help you can define the Tech Level of the World, during its creation. Or change the Tech-Level of a running game, by clicking on a random tile on the world map and clicking "change tech-level"

That makes it so everyone is using swords and bows across all factions? Bc I just want a rimworld where i fight with large numbers using bows and swords thats kinda it
Can't you just add tribal villages as enemies? I mean, I play vanilla game with just official expansions, and despite having guns myself (I did standard start, not tribal village start) all enemies mid-late game were so far bows and clubs/pikes. Obviously the noble quest guys have guns, but than again I don't fight them really.

that would work in theory but you could still get ultratech/archotech items from ancient dangers, and obviously you would run into mechs if they werent turned off
and then theres also psylinks from the empire if you keep them on, which are archotech items(though if you're running a tribal faction or recruit a tribal you can still get a psycaster through anima tree linking but anima trees can be argued as archotech)
and the gravship quest from odyssey just gives you a gravship which im pretty sure is either low level spacer or high level industrial
the vanilla game doesnt really have much medieval content either, the most it has is longswords and greatbows, as well as forging

you could probably use medieval overhaul
i havent personally used it but im pretty sure it overhauls the entire game to be a medievalworld instead of a standard rimworld
you do still have to use world tech limiter to limit the tech level though

Yeah I used both mods and got a good baseline for a medieval theme

Yes. Also if you still happen to find something that feels off or a bit to modern for you (maybe like a musket) you can enter the mod settings and change those items to industrial or whatever and you won't have to see them again.
Isn't the game automatically way shorter in terms of whatever goals you can have?
