Overheating GPU
so since the last update my GPU is overheating like crazy even on the lowest resolution

My set up

Processeur graphique: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
Niveau de fonctionnalité Direct3D: 12_1
Cœurs CUDA: 8448
Horloge graphique: 2640 MHz
BAR redimensionnable: Oui
Bus: PCI Express x16 Gen4

I never had that issue before the last update. I don't know if that's as a result of the update or if this is a server thing but on top of this issue, the animation are getting weird, doesn't look smooth at all anymore makes filming for the primitive thing a real struggle...

I really appreciate you for messing with the game with an update the first time you drop a realistic contest

Sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with this, Mathias_Rabat!

We recommend checking out this thread. Fellow skaters have shared workarounds that have helped lower their overall temps, so hopefully you’ll find something useful there too.

Seriously bro? I come to here to see if the game is worth installing and the "support" customers are receiving is a link to a year old reddit thread that contains "workarounds" for CPUs running hot and overheating after an update? You are needlessly and irresponsibly harming hardware that isn't yours to harm, and leaving people to believe this is the final and intended design.

Do you think you're helping people giving them that link? Does EA think thats an acceptable answer to this problem? "Good luck with the workarounds for the problem we're causing?" Genuinely?

LIVE SERVICE means you guys are supposed to be serving us more than excuses.
What's your framerate? I have my game at high settings, so I keep it at 60 FPS to avoid my GPU fans from going berserk.

i agree...we are not supposed to be jumping thru hoops just to play a game. if the issue was our rigs then by that logic the majority of games would require extra support and fixes but that is simply not the case. please fix this, EA. only reason i'm not noisier is because the game's EA and only been out for a year or so, but PLEASE, do better, man.

OP didn't even report actual temps, so we don't even know if their GPU was in danger or not. If a person can't even troubleshoot their own hardware overheating I really don't trust them to identify or accurately report issues either.

You seem to take any excuse to be rude though, so I guess you're just being you.

I understand your concern, ZO_hueman. To clarify, the thread we shared was intended as a resource where players have discussed their experiences with high temps related to their PC components and potential workarounds, not as an official fix or a suggestion that overheating should simply be accepted as part of the experience.

GPU temps are influenced by a range of factors, and every setup is different, and not every player is experiencing the same issue, so it becomes difficult to fully diagnose individual hardware issues or provide support specific to each GPU brand. That said, we understand the concern about the importance of addressing reports of high temperatures, and we don’t want the response initially provided to come across as dismissing that concern.

We appreciate that you've taken the time to share your perspective.

Appreciate you letting us know that you've already set the FPS cap. Do you mind letting us know what temps your GPU is currently at when playing Skate?

We understand the frustration, and we agree that players shouldn’t feel like they have to jump through hoops just to enjoy Skate. However, as I reiterate, PC setups vary as much as you may believe that the issue is not directly related to personal setups. Not every skater is experiencing the same GPU overheating issues, which makes it slightly more difficult to pinpoint a single cause.

That said, we understand your concern, and we’ll make sure the sentiment behind it is captured and shared with the team.
