Game crashes on exit
After playing for a few hours, when I quit the game it freezes on the save and exit screen.
Not even task manager can get me out completely.
I have to restart my computer then shut it down.
I know it's not the computer as it's brand new.
And I'm running 2 mods.
Weapon super store

This is a known bug from the NG update, I believe (some may correct me).

From the game, exit to menu first. Then exit to desktop.
"
I know it's not the computer as it's brand new."

That is likely part of the problem, since 'new' doesn't mean 'the game understands your hardware'. Nor does it guarantee 'high end / good quality', new may still mean mid-range or even a potato hand-held device... Might want to be more specific about your hardware and driver dates.

However you might also just want to wait for the update tomorrow and see if a reinstall helps you.
Another update? 😑🙄
Yes, so it might also be wise to figure out when the last time you played was, which version you're ON now, etc. and either take precautions to NOT update if you're not running AE already, or just nuke it all from orbit and start completely fresh with the new stuff / updated version coming out potentially tomorrow.

Think i have the NON AE Edition
If you owned the GOTY edition, or the Season Pass dlcs for the vanilla game, you 100% have the updated version of the game if you allowed Steam to download anything after May 27th.
Did you cap the game's fps to 60?

The CPU speed is... pretty slow for this game. While your video card is quite nice, the game needs 2.8 or ideally well over 3ghz to run smoothly.

Have you reduced the overall quality on launching it to "low" and see if it runs smoothly AND then also shuts down? And also, when you downloaded the game on Steam, did you ALSO download the 'high def texture pack'? If you did, I'd suggest removing that.
Running the game on high settings, no weapon debris and capped to 60 fps.
Will lokk into the removal of the HD texture pack.
The game overall runs perfectly fine. just when exiting the game and loading back into the commenwealth it either freezes or takes ages [5-10 minutes] to load.
Disable "save on exit"

Profit
How do i disable Disable "save on exit" or just not use it?

How long do you wait for it to exit to the desktop Op?

That's too long of course. I would say it is a issue with the mods you are using or the version of the game.

This was a issue when the last major update when live. But was corrected by Beth soon afterwards. I don't use any outside source mods and don't have that issue at all. Game exits in like 2 seconds.
The mods i use are from the CC
