Hello!

Most of the items in the game should either be pretty intuitive as to their uses (wood gets fletched, metal gets blacksmithed, fish get cooked, that kind of thing). There are only a handful of junk items from Tidecraft, and that is the only place in the game you'll ever see "junk" items without a purpose :)

The Collection Log does categorize items by type, and the other Logs like the Bestiary/Tidecraft Log/Wyldcraft Log show where they came from once discovered. But no, there is no "this item is used here" kind of guide.

Much like other RPGs, it is meant to have a bit of a learning curve at the very beginning with some sense of discovery. I recognize that may not be for everyone though. If you're having issues understanding the function of an item, you're always welcome to post here and I'm happy to help!
