[STUTTER CAUSE FOUND] control input such as moving, attacking, using items etc causes a spike in frames since KT patch (video example inside)
https://imgur.com/VvuZgpX

This gif is just an example, merely moving one step spikes it. This happens with any and every action you take except for moving the camera. Drawing weapons, using items, crouching and opening menus all delay a frame.

Since the Kulve Taroth update patch, large numbers of players have been experiencing stutter that wasn't there before. It appears that any input of any kind from keyboard or controller will delay a frame. Since players are constantly moving, attacking, using items etc this means the game feels deeply spiky to play. It seems Capcom ♥♥♥♥ed up somewhere and has put a low priority on control inputs somehow. This is the source of all the hitching and stuttering.

ETA for fix will probably be Feb 2019
Yep.....I use kadaein frame timer to keep tab on spikes and its exactly like this.(I'm on keyboard)

Staying still and pressing any direction key causes a spike and pressing shift and releasing it while running causes spikes too. There are also occasional spikes from looking around because I recall getting some while standing still too and simply running around.Certain mouse movement probably causes stutter/spikes too.

Hope this gets more attention....
I also used our friend over here's Special K and everytime I start sprinting the game does 3-4 hitches and if I keep spamming sprint, it goes even higher. Frametime deviation jumps to 30 ms. Absolutely disgusting and it puts me off so hard.
Yes I can't believe more people aren't reporting this. I've tried every version of NVIDIA driver, even completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game to no avail. This exact issue happens since the update for both my PC (8700k/1080ti) and my wife's PC (2550k/970GTX). So easy to reproduce - just forward movement and tap R1 repeatedly. Watch the stutters..every..damn..time. SMH.

Yep... it's ridiculous how it's getting 0 attention.
The worst feel is when your devs are ignorant, when things like that don't worry them. What's even worse than that is community that doesn't notice anything.
It took Destiny 2 half a year to figure out fullscreen on PC, absolutely ridiculous however the game is still the same stuttery mess that came out at launch. It's been beaten to death to be fixed by the devs by way more people than what we have here and it was never fixed. Might as well do what Kaldaien said and go play on console where things at least works albeit at 30 fps.
Yup i can confirm in-engine cinematics are stutter-free, at least part of the problem is input related.
Shame.... the game ran perfect after the second patch for me and now they break it again. One step forward two steps back :steamsalty:

980ti / i73770k / 16gb (hdd or ssd make no difference)
Same issue.

Sounds about right. Itll take another month just for them to acknowledge it.
BUMP.This thread must not die.
Seriously. Is everyone here just playing at 30fps and so doesn't notice?

I emailed Capcom support and they only responded with the usual script of "Here's a list of everything you can possibly try to resolve the issue".

I find it hard to believe they are unaware of this.

Yep,I honestly think most people simply don't notice it but it's there.Basically the higher the fps the more obvious it is.I really hope they fix this because I refuse to play the stutters fest of a game.Bad timing too...shame it had to come with kulve.

Also.Have you tried linking them to this thread? This is on their end not ours.I know they probably count on outside sources to fix their game but they messed it up to the point not even kaldaein can help.

Issue still persists in today's 149mb patch.
Same here, it's still there.
so this is why im getting frame spikes? dang man :/
