Drive slower than you think you should. You're going faster than you think.

Forza Horizon 6 is a gorgeous, meticulously crafted, technically impressive slop
...That has absolutely no idea what making a car feel fast actually means. Playground Games have once again delivered a stunning open world and then forgotten to put a racing game inside it.

Lets start with the fundemental problem
- speed feels completely broken . At 150km/h your brain is receiving approximately 20% of the sensory information it needs to correctly perceive velocity. Results you cruising comfortably into any corner like you own the place, then the wall arrives three seconds later before your brain even registers danger, and suddenly you are hugging the barrier and going off like Richard Hammond . This isnt a skill issue, this is the game lying to your face at speed above 60.

The roads don't help. At all.
- they are enormous. Generously, disgustingly, unrealisticly wide. Real roads are uncomfortably narrow and that discomfort is exactly the reason what makes driving feels alive and urgent - like playing with fire. 80% of the roads in this game are built like airport runways with scenery, which tricks your brain into thinking there is plenty of space and everything is fine. While you are in a X999 road missile going stupidly fast. THE WIDTH DOES NOT MAKE IT MORE FORGIVING. It actively destorys your spatial perception and makes overshooting corners easier because your brain refuses to panic.

This is where Need for Speed understood something Playground Games still hasn't — narrow city streets, buildings inches from your door, traffic weaving through tight corridors — these things feed your brain the correct information. Speed exists when things are close. Forza takes that away and subsitutes with breathtaking vista. It does not work.

The physics are fictional.
Not simulation, not arcade-y, but straight up made up.
The handling has a rubbery floaty quality that feels so disconnected from anything resembling the word "mechanical" or "car", its more like piloting my fishing boat on rough seas. Cars lurch, wobble, and understeer in ways that follow internal Forza logic rather than anything a tyre or chassis would actually do.

Braking without ABS is genuinely punishing in the worst way
- not punishing in the satisfying way that builds skill, but punishing in the way that reveals how little tactile feedback a controller trigger provides versus a real brake pedal. The lockup threshold is a knife edge with no warning and no feel, and the wide roads mean you're always carrying too much speed into corners because nothing told your brain to brake earlier. The game simultaneously makes you need to brake harder AND gives you less ability to modulate that braking.

This game is so desperately terrified of alienating anyone that it has sanded off every sharp edge that made driving games exciting in the first place. The roads are wide so nobody feels claustrophobic. The physics are forgiving so nobody feels punished. The speed feels slow so nobody feels scared. The collisions are consequence-free so nobody feels guilty. Every single design decision has been filtered through the question "but will this upset someone" until what remains is a technically magnificent, breathtakingly beautiful, but completely defanged racing game that appeals to everyone and challenges nobody.

It is the gaming equivalent of a theme park ride — thrilling looking from the outside, perfectly safe on the inside, and fundamentally incapable of making your heart actually race.

Forza Horizon 6 removed the friction, polished everything until it gleamed, and called it a racing game. It is not a racing game. It is a very fast tourism simulator with a excellent soundtrack.

Only occasionally comes an absolutely stunning game where you feel close to the character and the story you're playing in such a way. I had no idea what to expect when I started the game; I had only seen a few trailers and gameplay videos. I went into it with an open mind, but I found a world I felt I could relate to right away.

I was presented with, at first, a game that involved balance while walking and carrying items on my back, which affected how I could move, and with the story pushing me along, I soon discovered I was able to gain some new items to help me. I could see the weight of my load on my back, something that no other games did with their 'huge inventories that you always thought should be impossible to carry.

Some claim this game needs more excitement and is monotonous and repetitive compared to other excellent games like Call of Duty, Destiny, etc. But Heido Kojima shows that he can undoubtedly raise your dopamine with each boss battle in the game. DS is NOT a game for everyone; it is a piece of art. Aside from the stress of falling, damaging, and losing your cargo, it can be incredibly challenging for some players to spend a long time in front of a computer screen controlling Sam to move.

I adored the characters I encountered along the road, the chapter-driven plot, and the "oh wow" moments as it advanced and presented you with new threats and goals in the mission's never-ending course. The game also features some of the most extended cutscenes you will ever see in a fun, leaving you wanting more. Laying ladders over rivers, building bridges, roads, and towers, and delivering commodities lost by other players can grant you like; I enjoyed the pleasant sensation, which quickly became one of my main objectives.

I strongly advise you to pick it up and add it to your library, even though I only played it for about ten hours when I wrote this review since it is a game that should not be passed over. Games like this are rare; it is very well polished and exquisite; I don't remember seeing any glitches while playing; as a result, I had a fantastic gaming experience and a constant desire for the game to be turned into a movie. It's difficult to confess, but Death Stranding is the first game I could play for hours without becoming bored.
