anyone who played this game on day 1 release should give it another go.

1.0 is a massive update.

palworld released with 111 pals and we are at 278 currently. phenomenal game

Game is pretty solid. nice chill rts/colony sim type game. schtick is you have no REAL control over your towns adventurers so you have to bribe them with increasing amounts of gold to get them to do tasks. while there is a decent learning curve a lot of it is rng in what upgrades you get and how often your adventurers will do your tasks.

its decent 7/10 ill probably put a decent amount of time into it

I've played a lot of extract shooters and usually they are either too casual and progression doesnt feel meaningful or they are insanely sweaty and i feel like I have to throw too much time into it to enjoy myself.

Marathon manages to find a nice common ground where even tho I'm not the best at shooters i can still find loot and make progress while not catering too much to a casual audience.

I feel like i can jump in here play for around 10-15 hours inside a week timeframe and feel like im not falling behind the playerbase im matched into.

time will tell if bungie is able to keep up with this playerbase in a meaningful way but so far I'm enjoying myself.

Finally we get a fresh take on the Vampire Survivor Genre. this isnt more of the same sit in area as big waves of enemies come and you upgrade.

great game i can see myself sinking time into. decent meta progression, different characters enable different styles of play. its a great game!

my only gripe is I wish pierce enabling passives and abilities didnt feel so strong it makes me want to pretty much grab it everytime which feels like -1 inventory slot and makes the runs where i dont hit it rly hard. im sure there are builds that dont need it but the majority definitely seem to really want it.

Honestly I was kinda skeptical of the game at first.

the gaming industry is just so saturated with roguelike games that a new one with dota 2 esc graphics was kinda initially filtered out but I saw it was an autobattler so i decided to try it out.

its pretty damn good. large roster. ton of meta progression. runs feel overall pretty unique. as you play you unlock more stuff for more complicated strategies.

if you enjoy auto battlers like TFT or Dota's Auto-Chess then youll for sure enjoy this game.

while there is an rng element like in any roguelike game it feels way less punishing in a PVE game like this while still maintaning a fairly good challenge.

enemies are also pretty unique and the game isnt afraid of giving you detailed breakdowns of enemy stats and abilities (if you wanna see them)

all in all this is one of the few roguelike games I can see myself putting a good bit of time into and I'm excited to see what the developers do for the future of this game

Server issues have been fixed, and the game runs like butter. smooth, satisfying, and all while keeping the intense depth that poe1 had.

played a good bit on my steam deck and it ran relatively well.

Edit: dont like the armory system. you basically get punished for only playing the game here and there. I shouldnt have to grind items to make future games easier in a PVP ranked ladder game.

when there is more accessibility for casual players I will switch the review

Game is a ton of fun and most negative reviews are from a different time. Hope to see more positive reviews in the future as more people try it because the game is honestly so insanely fun.

rpg game that you can freely swap between classes that each feel unique and interesting pretty deep loot system and if youre into housing decoration they got that too.

overall its a great comfort game that i think i will be sinking time into.

Its a good game. a bit short but its pretty cheap so w/e plus the dev is coming out with more content to add repeatability so if you're on the fence just wait for that.

JRPG Monster Hunter

if you dont know what monster hunter is then ill give a basic rundown of the gameplay loop. you pick a mission (most of which involves fighting a boss) you get resources from said mission to upgrade characters and you repeat. there is a LARGE variety of characters and although there are levels its not hard to reach max levels. rather most of the strength increases for each character involves the resources you grind for and the resources needed to max a single character is a lot between weapons, masteries, and sigils.

there are a TON of characters each with at least 8 different skills (you can only bring 4 with you) so even playing the same character has some diversity to it.

game is amazing honestly I really only have two issues. the game is popular but it also separates people by region and theres no crossplay between console and pc so the wait times for content that isnt late game gets real rough but if you are at the late game (at least currently) there is little to no wait time.

my other gripe is the story sucks. like it is genuinely the most mediocre hard to follow jrpg stuff that feels very uninspiring. it is a visually stunning game but I wouldnt be surprised if there was a single dude who was given a week to make the whole story because it is short and also SO MUCH content is behind the story so you feel incentivized to get it over with asap to get to the "real" game.

all in all I give it 9/10 the content in the game more than makes up for the weak story but if youre the kind of person who primarily plays a game for the story rather than gameplay this wont be your cup of tea
