I would have to say that the "Oldrim" version has far more mod support (more mods available) at the time of writing this review, that said, this version has far more potential mod support (better mods in the future), being that this version is 64-bit and not 32-bit like its predecessor. This would mean that the 4GB application utilization limitation that the "Oldrim" version had is no longer an issue, meaning the new version is capable of more advanced 4K textures, overhauls etc. We can already see this by what Bethesda has already brought to the table (God Rays, enhanced lighting and FX, depth of field etc.


If you were to put a "theoretical" gun to my "theoretical" head right now at this "theoretical" time, I would advise you to buy the Special Edition, play the full depth and length (including official DLC's) of the story and then after proceed to add mods to it, assuming you have not already played the story in the previous version of this game. However in the event you have already played the previous version of this game then go ahead and break this game from level 1 with modifications!


You will not only be wasting your time and money by doing that but it would all be for nothing, there is a very good reason for why this version costs more, [see reasons above] believe me when I say, this version is the better version.

I have to say that in 5 years, nothing has really changed.

This game is The Walking Dead simulator that never came, this is definitely worth a pick up. I have not got many hours yet but played this before and racked up hundreds of hours. Cannot wait to replay and get started on the DLC's. Pick this game up it will pretty much always be relevant. If you like anything "The Walking Dead" you will love this game.

Unfortunately I have to be one of those people who agree with the masses in saying that this game is definately the best Arkham game and in fact best batman game out there for now. Graphically, Voices, Realism etc.

When purchasing this game before thinking of launching it on steam go to Uplay - https://uplay.ubi.com/ - Install. Then launch through steam. Write down your game key and press play. *Uplay will then open*. Your game will launch on Uplay automatically type in the key code you wrote down and you're all set. The same advise will go for Conviction.

You see, the problem is when you launch it without installing official Uplay it opens a web browser based version of Uplay which will crash and crash and crash after updating.
