It's hard to give this game a rating. It's fun, but... it's very basic. Simplicity is okay for a cheap game like this, but still, I'm not sure it's worth the asking price. After about 25 minutes I've completed several runs, a couple of victories and several losses.

The entire game is basically blob ships and throw them at the enemy. There don't seem to be any ways to change difficulty, galaxy generation, species, etc. There doesn't seem to be a way to meaningfully interact with your systems or planets once you have them. There doesn't seem to be much logic to combat besides 'more ship kill fewer ship'.

Like I said, it's fun, but it's a bit sparse for a $10 game.

It's a fun mix of turn based tactics and economy management.

It's got a pretty fun gameplay loop. Definitely very early access, but I enjoy it as-is.

The grand strategy mode is just Openfront.io with a tech tree. It's fun, and I guess you don't have to pay for it, but it doesn't seem to be very innovative yet. If it was a paid product, I'd recommend against it, but if you like openfront then you'll like this. I haven't tried the other modes.

An enjoyable take on the turn based tactics genre. The strategy layer is simple but provides enough choice to be meaningful, and the complete absence of an Overwatch or reaction shot mechanic makes the game feel unique in a good way.

Excellent grand strategy game, very fun.

It's a very fun game as-is, I'm excited to see what content gets added in the future.
