Possibly the worst thing I've ever subjected myself to playing in my whole life

What's here is essentially an animefied Dark Souls-esque indie game.

It's hardly the most original of concepts, and the game is definitely still in a very rough state on the technical side. But after looking past all the jank, I can see a lot of potential in it.

I've found myself having an enjoyable time exploring and fighting through enemies despite all the issues.

What's worth noting is that the character designs are very solid. So much so that I find them to be the main draw of the game.

It makes me look forward to whatever new bosses and playable characters will be added next as the game develops.

I can definitely see myself having a good time with this one, so long as the developer keeps on ironing out all the rough spots and adding more content.

This game is essentially China doing what it does best: taking multiple popular/trendy game design concepts and ideas and mixing them into a soup of legal distinctiveness, if that's even a word.
What you're getting here is essentially hero shooter elements akin to those of Overwatch; that being multiple playable characters with distinctive weapons, cooldown abilities, passives, and ults mixed with map design, game modes and purchasable upgrades of tactical shooters akin to Counter-Strike and, god forbid, Valorant.

What sets Strinova apart from the aforementioned games are two main points.
First and most obvious: it's an anime game. Yeah, as it turns out making your characters ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ already makes your game more appealing than Concord by default. Who would've guessed?

And secondly, this is just a goofy-ass game you're less likely to take seriously and get salty over.
I cannot for the life of me understand the logic behind them adding the "Stringification" mechanic to the game, which essentially turns your characters into Paper Mario, allowing you to glue yourself to walls and become thinner on command to better avoid incoming damage.

But it sure as ♥♥♥♥ allows for some crazy shenanigans that will get you laughing your ass off.

I mean, yeah, ♥♥♥♥ it. Just turn into paper and glue yourself to the payload and have the enemies scramble to try to hit you or try to disrupt you by attempting to body-block you in the 2nd dimension.

Hell, you can even use the wind to blow people away because everyone is paper for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason that I cannot fathom. From what I know not even the lore tries to address it properly. But frankly, who the ♥♥♥♥ cares?

Though as fun the game can be sometimes, it isn't all pros.

For one this game is also a gacha, because of course it is.
Fortunately, only skins are gated behind said gacha systems, and the many different characters can be unlocked through in-game currency you earn through leveling up and other miscellaneous rewards. Although, this leads me into the second issue.
The unlockable characters are a bit too expensive for the amount of in-game currency you get and it may take you a lot of grinding to unlock them all.

And last but not least in the list of issues, is the fact that the game is region-locked.
So yeah, if you happen to have friends from across the Atlantic Ocean for example, you can say goodbye to the prospect of playing with them.
Supposedly that was done to improve overall match connection consistency, but I doubt that was worth the cost of separating so many international friend groups.
This alone might drive you away from playing the game, and for good reason.
I just really hope they'll change their minds about it in the future, because what we have here is a decently fun game.

After all the fatigue culminated by constant yearly releases, you’d think there would be nothing to note about the main series’ 19th entry, but I think this might be the better one of those more recent entries to get into for a few reasons. For one, this game piggybacks on the massive success of its prequel and won’t be facing a shortage of players any time soon, being the third most played game on Steam at the moment and having crossplay support. Two, since the next game of the series will be the first one to skip a year in a VERY long time, you can expect Modern Warfare II to be supported with new content for much longer than any of the previous games, especially after the introduction of Warzone 2.0. But other than that, the game truly is fun and enjoyable, as it iterates on the already excellent gunplay of Modern Warfare (2019) to make what's possibly one of the best feeling and looking first-person shooters ever made. It helps that there is an excellent amount of weapons, attachments, and equipment that are surprisingly well-balanced for Call of Duty standards. The game also has a very healthy amount of game modes and the campaign is nothing to scoff at either, having a decent amount of gameplay variety, excellent visuals, and outstanding sound design. It isn't perfect although, as I feel some missions drag for much longer than they should, and the way the story plays out can feel rather off. And on the topic of complaints, overall the game does have quite a few glaring issues, which I will start listing below.
• Its UI is utterly atrocious, both visually and functionally. It makes me wonder how they could have approved it.
• The game on Steam has a high tendency to crash for seemingly no good reason, which can be very annoying.
• The game's DRM is VERY aggressive, to the point that being disconnected for just a couple of seconds is enough to get you kicked out, even if you are playing the campaign.
• The Coop mode is very underbaked and feels like an afterthought of a game mode. It certainly doesn't even come close to matching the Spec Ops modes of the original series.
• There are currently not a lot of maps for the multiplayer mode and those that are there are not exactly the most fun maps the series has ever had, and they do little to help people make use of the new mechanics added to the game, such as ledge grabbing and swimming. There is currently one single map that even has swimmable water.
• The game sorely lacks the style of the older games that had well-defined factions for the multiplayer and iconic sound effects, callsigns, and music. The game also uses made-up names for weapons, which is rather lame.
• The player base is about what you'd expect for a Call of Duty game, or any popular game in general. I recommend you just straight up mute public voice chat as soon as you can.
• Servers for the game can feel very laggy at times, especially in Warzone 2.0, and that can be a significant detriment to the gameplay feel.
• And lastly, what in my opinion is the biggest issue with the game: the lack of proper lobbies with basic features such as map voting and the reintroduction of Skill Based Matchmaking. SBMM can turn a game that is often meant to be a fun casual distraction into a frustrating sweatfest. If you happen to have the audacity to perform well in a match, you should expect to be obliterated in the very next one, as the game will match you with players far above your skill level, making this system the number 1 driver of frustration in the whole game.

To conclude this review, I think this is a very fun, although flawed game. But do I think it is worth the price being asked for? If you're a fan of Call of Duty's fast-paced and casual gameplay style and you have a couple of friends who'd be willing to join you on matches, then I'd say yes. This might be the better Call of Duty experience you can get today. Otherwise, I say you should probably stay clear from this game until it either gets discounted or more content is added to it to make it a more compelling purchase. Warzone 2.0 is free to play, so you might wanna try that if you're interested but are not sure if you'd like the game.

How could I possibly describe this game? Try low-budget bootleg Killing Floor with anime girls and wonky animations that were supposed to represent coitus.
And to be more specific, this is an erotic wave shooter game where you fight off asset store monsters that often pop into existence right in front of you with poorly animated asset store weapons which sound like nerf guns in poorly put together asset store maps while accompanied by anime girls straight out of “how to model anime characters in Blender” tutorials with mosaics for genitals that have as much personality as the keyboard I’m using to type this review on who are thirstier than fish out of water in a narrative that makes Highschool of the Dead look like gospel in comparison.
By now, you might be wondering, why in the hell is all of that under a positive review? Well, because I do not hate this game. I did grow used to the jank to the point I could tolerate it after some time. And for how terrible almost everything is, the game does have a pretty banger soundtrack. Good enough to sometimes make you forget you are still playing a hastly put together porn game.
From my experience, this is one of those bad games you can just pick up to laugh at, and for that reason, I see no harm in picking it up for cheap during a sale if you happen to be as demented as I am.

Mafia III is a very rough game, but one I really enjoy. Though, before I go to explain why I really can’t understate how utterly busted this game is. Every single issue you could possibly think of is probably in this game in one way or another.
Infinite load screens? Indeed a thing.
Crashes? Yep.
Broken scripting on missions that may force you to reload a checkpoint to proceed? Of course.
Broken character models with either messed up vertex locations or missing body parts? Also a thing.
Mirror rendering that makes absolutely no sense? You should have expected it.
NPCs required for game progression may become unable to be talked to until the game is restarted? Hell yeah.
Being able to be attacked during a cutscene, something that may result in you dying immediately after it’s over? Mhm.
A random bug that may cause audio to get screwed up until the game is restarted? There too.
Broken achievement tracking that resets after the game is restarted, making achievement hunting a massive pain considering how often you might be forced to restart the game? For sure.
Hell, not even the damn credits are safe from issues. Sometimes the game may start playing two tracks at the same time, and that’s just as distracting as it sounds.

There is a very clear lack of polish in this game, though I would say what it does right, it does really right, enough to redeem it from some of the issues it has.
Like the combat, which is very fun. Lincoln Clay is an absolute beast and you feel like one when playing as him with how easily you can run and gun people and beat them up with some really well-animated finisher animations.
The soundtrack is absolutely amazing, with banger after banger constantly being thrown at you.
The acting is simply great. Characters like Father James and Lincoln Clay are acted extremely well with some really good performances all around.
And the 3 pieces of DLC that are packed with the Definitive Edition are all really good, all being unique in their own way and doing a lot to break the repetitiveness of the main game objectives.

Overall this is still a game I would recommend despite its issues, just don't expect it to be like the other Mafia games and do expect to find tons of bugs.

Crysis 3 is pretty much a more refined version of Crysis 2 with a stronger emphasis on stealth, with the addition of a bow you can use while cloaked and the ability to properly tag enemies to see them through walls. Though, if you wish to play aggressively, you can still do that, and it feels better than ever in the series due to some tweaks made to the gameplay, like how you no longer need to spend suit energy to sprint and slide. Those changes did a lot to push this game to something I genuinely find enjoyable, rather than something I find merely tolerable, which is how I felt about most of Crysis 2. What also definitely helped me enjoy this game more is its amazing movie-like soundtrack that’s very underrated.
And to continue with the tradition the Crysis series has set for releasing beautiful looking games for their time, Crysis 3 hasn’t disappointed at all. The game simply looks gorgeous, despite being from 2013. It was probably the prettiest game of that time and it still looks amazing to this very day.
Though, the game is still not without its issues.
Stealth still doesn’t feel as good as in other games, like Far Cry 3, due to a lack of takedowns, other than the basic “sneaking behind an enemy.”
The weapon variety is just as limited as in any of the other Crysis games.
AI is very easily exploitable with the tools provided to the player, making even hard mode relatively easy.
There are no Steam achievements, which is something that hurts replayability and makes the collectibles seem even more worthless.
The game, for some baffling reason, still doesn’t have a FOV slider.
And for as pretty as the game looks, it does suffer from very poor performance in some very specific spots, likely places where the game is set to load assets belong to the next areas.

That might seem like a decent number of issues, but I do not think those bad things outweigh the positives. This is, in my opinion, the best Crysis game, and I would recommend it to anyone who is into first-person shooters if you can find it on sale.

Far Cry New Dawn is a post-apocalyptic game set in the world of Far Cry 5 post the nuclear attacks, and you’d think this would mean this game would take cues from other games with similar settings like Fallout, but no.
There are no apocalyptic wastelands here, the world is actually prettier than ever and the gameplay barely acknowledges the post-apocalyptic themes. Yes, you no longer have money and instead, you need to gather resources to craft things, and on paper that sounds good, but those resources become extremely abundant once you have good enough weapons and perks for easily clearing out outposts and completing expeditions. You don’t even need to hunt animals for upgrades like you had to in Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4. My point is that this game is pretty much Far Cry 5 again, but with a new coat of paint, pink paint specifically. (Some aspects are actually worse than in that game, like how this time special takedowns are needlessly hard to execute because of their new and lengthier animations. (Well, at least they look pretty good)) Don’t get me wrong, that’s not inherently a bad thing, if you enjoyed Far Cry 5, you’ll definitely enjoy this game too, but don’t expect much new from it. Even the level system that was added to this game because apparently, that’s something Ubisoft thinks every game absolutely must have now doesn’t change much. It just means some enemies will be bullet spongy until you unlock weapons that match their level, then they pretty much become average Far Cry enemies again. You might have noticed I haven’t mentioned anything about the story yet, that’s because there is not much to say about it. Most of it just feels like an excuse for you to shoot bad guys. Almost nothing about it is memorable, not even the main villains, which are usually the highlight of any Far Cry game.
Again, if you enjoy the gameplay loop of a post-FC3 Far Cry game, you’ll probably enjoy this game too. Just don’t ever buy this game at full price. It is just not worth that given it feels more like a Far Cry 5 DLC than a proper new Far Cry game.

A Way Out is a rare example of a game that was meant to be exclusively played in co-op. The gameplay is super simple. Most things are done through QTEs, with a few exceptions, but the game does a fantastic job at keeping things variated by presenting you with a lot of unique scenarios and giving you minigames to play around with your friend every now and then. But unfortunately, while the dynamic between the two main characters is interesting, I feel the game's story is flawed. Especially on how the police were written. Throughout the story, they will often not put a lot of effort into chasing you, will not show up when anyone would expect them to, and will have some really questionable ideas. But if you can put that aside there are a lot of things to enjoy about this game. It is a very unique experience I don’t you can get anywhere else. I can definitely recommend it if you have someone to play the game with locally, online, or through steam’s remote play. (which I guess also counts as online, but shhhhhh) If you are interested, make sure to get it during a sale, because the game isn't very long.

Dress-up Traveller is surprisingly charming for a cheap Hentai game that was released post the opening of the NSFW floodgates. While the game is very short, (you can 100% complete it in less than 2 hours) the combat is predictably beyond basic and the story is basically non-existent, It got some really well-done pixel art and animations for when you get “defeated”. (The combat animations are very stiff though) I also really like how the game allows you to customize your character and lets you unlock scenes by defeating enemies instead of making you purposely lose. The game even tracks Achievement progression, which is something a surprisingly small amount of games do.
As far as those kinds of games go, I’d say this one is pretty good. Just don’t expect it to have lots of content. If you are interested, I advise waiting for a sale, and don’t forget to download the free DLC which removes all of the mosaics.
