Deadly 30 seemed like an interesting enough game to buy for about a $1.50 when it went on sale, but after putting in just a little over an hour of glitchy, strenuous gameplay I realized it is just another buggy flash game.

The concept is fun; kill zombies and collect materials by day using three somewhat unique, but stereotypical characters, and defend your base at night. What you can usually expect from zombie games with day cycles.

However, the gameplay is horrendous. The controls aren't only sticky, but sometimes downright impossible to use. Moving your cursor from side to side on the screen, which is necessary if you want to shoot on both sides of yourself, can produce unpredictable results. Sometimes your cursor doesn't move all the way, or at all, sometimes it moves to the very edge or off screen, and when it does this, you lose complete control of your character. He/she continues walking without you being able to stop it, and you have to try to yank your cursor off the edge of the screen which it won't let you do. Because of this, you'll be walking right into many of the zombies in this game.

The day/night cycle doesn't work as anyone would hope for. The days are quick, though this can be expected, it makes it difficult to journey anywhere else in the game, seeing as I can only find the one base/fort that I started in. I go out to scavenge, and have to take my best guess as to when I should start running home. By time I get there, zombies are already innevitably destroying the base, and my health is low because of my guess work.

I would reccomend refraining from playing this game at all.

Me and my buddies love playing horror games together, mainly because we love to see who gets scared the most, and to share in the screams. The first Episode of Haunted Memories did a good job of doing this, but not for long.

The constant teleporting of the game makes it literally almost completely unplayable. I don't see how any game dev would think it's a good idea to teleport me across the map when I'm literally standing in front of my objective. The only reason I have 4.3 hours logged into this game is because of the teleporting, we could have pinned it down to at least 3. We learned by searching through forums that collecting scraps causes this, so look out.

The jump scares were great at first, but after awhile it's just "Oh there's Slender Man again" just like in every other Slender game. After awhile, the scares will go away.

The game is really glitchy. Slender got stuck in rocks a few times, and in the very beginning of the game you're able to hop the fence to get into the last area of the game. This doesn't benefit you at all however.

Finally, objectives are not told you at all really. We learned towards the end of the game what we were supposed to have been collecting during the whole game, making us have to go back and collect what we needed to. This was made even more trifling because we were teleported several times before we reached them.

Overall, you might as well get the first episode and see how it suits you (seeing as it is free) but me and my buddies are hesitating on getting the second episode. Not sure if it's worth all the glitching and annoyance.

UPDATE: Episode 2

After playing Episode 2, my opinion on this game has not changed, and has worsened if anything.

Game seems to be even glitchier than before, getting stuck then falling through the floor at random times. Getting stuck in corners and having to reset the game. What might be worst of all are the controls, switching between items in your inventory is unnecessarily confusing at first. Plus, controls feel extremely sticky. Simply moving around is a real chore in this game.

This is all made so much more dissapointing by the fact that this game has so much potential. The horror scenes are set perfectly, and though the story may be a little off, and the voice acting is simply terrible, the tone of horror in this game is magnificent and made me truly afraid.

I would recommend staying away from this game and just playing "Slender: The Arrival" I think at this point in time developers need to stop trying to cash in on the Slender icon of horror and move on to their own things.
