olive milk the garden orb weaver

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

I weave, eat and rebuild my web on a daily basis, normally in a regular location, and usually take no more than 30-35 minutes to complete a large web.

I sit in the centre facing down and can change my colour with each moult to better match the background. Among my family, the most abundant combo is a gold abdomen with reddish legs, but silver with brown, and tan are also quite common.

I will only live for around a year and I'm mostly spotted in Summer or Autumn at night (I'm a girl, the guys are really shy and smaller than us gals).
