Pay no mind to the review bomb from players inconvenienced by servers overloaded on launch day. Great game. Feels good, runs well, and has a promising future.

Just don't. Go ahead and buy KF2 when it's on sale for like 2$.

I typed out this comment below on an update page. I think it'll effectively reach more of the people that need to see it here in the reviews, along with the negative statistic it deserves. I've given the developers time to work out bugs and optimization, and I've given this game a chance, but it is beyond redemption. After nearly a year since it's 1.0 release, it is clear that there is no passion to create an enjoyable and fun to play co-op shooter, it was just a grift.

The biggest issue I have with KF3 is the horrible performance, game constantly stutters and lags ALL THE TIME. Running the 7900XTX on a 5800X3D and still, absolutely horrible performing game. They butchered the level up system too.

Game released with day one battle passes and microtransaction store, yet it took the devs something like 10 months to get a text chat running. THE GAME HAD NO FUNCTIONAL TEXT CHAT FOR 10 MONTHS BUT HAD GONE THROUGH 3 SEASONS OF BATTLE PASSES WITH AN IN-GAME STORE CHOCK FULL OF ITEMS TO BUY WITH REAL MONEY.

I'm not disappointed with the art direction or the Zeds, or the 'Specialist abilities' or any of that. KF3 is a poorly optimized stuttering laggy mess of a game.

No ability to heal teammates w/o the use of medic guns, forcing you to buy the medic pistol which replaces your default pistol (only one pistol weapon slot). No weight system, can no longer carry multiple guns like you used to as with the Support perk.

The level up system is minimally transparent. No longer could you see what helps you level quicker, ie no longer could you see how many Stalkers you killed w/ the Assault perk, or if killing stalkers even does anything, because all you see at game end is a XP bar fill up with no info at all. KF1 & KF2 perk leveling felt satisfying, for whatever reason, and they killed it with KF3.

The ZED Time bonuses in KF2 were felt even in the early ranks, they are basically unnoticeable in KF3 (maybe once maxing out rank, haven't cared enough to get any perk past lvl 20).

Just all around, awful game. Not worth more than 5 dollars in it's current state. I had anticipated something better, I followed along with the high production value teaser trailers, I missed the beta and preordered the 'Nightfall Edition' of the game regardless. Regrets. I don't even want to see these games in my games list anymore, they might join the ranks of my 'hidden games' where I never have to entertain the thought of playing KF3 again.

Not only did it take 10 months to implement a freaking text chat. THEY MADE IT OUT TO BE A MAJOR UPDATE TITLED 'THE TEXT CHAT UPDATE' !!!!!!!!!!!

* Would also like to add, the numbers don't lie.

20.4k reviews on Steam, with only 46% of them positive.

30k all time peak players on release day.
15k a week after release day.
5 weeks after release day, concurrent player count drops below 2k.
8 weeks after release day, concurrent player count drops near 800.
Steady decline ever since, with the occasional update briefly drawing a few hundred concurrent players back.
Peak concurrent players for all of June 2026, 532 players.
Averages for the month of June 2026 show around 250 - 350 peak concurrent players.
Some hours of the recent few past days show fewer than 120 concurrent players.

Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, for example, has higher concurrent players and higher peak concurrent players than KF3. An obscure solo/coop FPS game that released in 2004 on Windows XP has more players than KF3.

Well, I got banned from the community hub for suggesting the game dev not post his radical political (and spiritual) views on his public facing social media account which you can access from within the game.
'!@#$ THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' reads one of his reposts, for example. It's everything else you'd expect from a Bluesky account, too.

Arcade style car combat. Nails the early 2000's gaming vibe. Twisted Metal meets Mad Max, Vigilante 8 meets Test Drive Off-Road: Wide Open, Gran Turismo 2 rally meets Twisted Metal. It's the game you could've only dreamed for two decades ago.

Love the visual effects and art style, the way your little car will be thrashing around the wastes. Plenty of humorous pop culture references scattered in there as well. Well done FUMES Team. Noot Noot!

A few months ago, recent reviews for Ready or Not were overwhelmingly positive (+95%). A review bomb by Steam Level 0 bots (literally and figuratively speaking), and cries of 'censorship,' right on time for RoN's console release, appears to be an orchestrated hit job on an otherwise small indie Dev team.
Quality game, something you would expect from a AAA developer (but that you never got). Intense gunfights, dark atmosphere, good fun. 10/10, would shoot crackheads and pedophiles pointing guns at me again.

Would suggest looking into what the Crew games are all about before buying. It's about effectively managing and tasking several crew members where they are needed, when they are needed, as the world around you throws every kind of threat your way.
As a fan of Bomber Crew, this is something of a game on another level.

Physics heavy transportation game, take jobs to earn money & experience or just cruise around online. Very relaxed atmosphere, play at your own pace / open world sandbox. Clearly a lot of love put into the development process, w/ monthly updates. Above all else, it's a good time. Driving is fun, with special attention to the 'feel' of every vehicle. Weight transfers are hard to master and weight distribution changes everything.
Would I recommend? That's a big yes. Well worth the asking price. An obscure game like this deserves far more attention.

My first impulse buy that I don't regret. Great nostalgic title for anyone who've played the PS2 originals.

DO NOT touch this game on PC.
Would recommend it on a Series X or PS5, because the gameplay is quite fun.

The PC experience is so bad that I've requested a refund. Graphics wise, I can't get the game to look better than a 15 y/o racing sim. Even if I were to upscale 200%, with 'Ultra' graphic setting, the visual fidelity I'm getting on a 1440p monitor is hideous. Performance wise, just as disappointing - sub 60 FPS with the aforementioned settings (on a 7900xtx). This makes no sense to me because I remember the game performing good and looking much cleaner on console.

And then I had to google how to exit the game because the ESC key does nothing. Almost an unplayable game on Mouse and Keyboard. You're stuck having to navigate the menus using the arrow keys. Your Mouse does nothing at all, no free looking around your car in game, and no 'pointing and clicking' in the menus.

Buying this game on PC has been so disappointing that I have to give this a big thumbs down. A horribly optimised PC experience and I want my 5$ back.

A fun 4X RTS with unimpeded warfare. Less demanding gameplay mechanics to learn when compared to something like Stellaris. Plenty of tutorials and levels of difficulty to get you started. Lacks a campaign mode of any kind (currently, Dec 2024), which is fine for me in this genre of game. Would recommend newcomers to 4X games to give this one a shot.

Comparison is the thief of joy, so I can imagine some are upset that this game isn't what they wanted for a sequel. But I'm having fun with it, and haven't experienced any bugs of any kind. Runs surprisingly well too. With FPS capped at about 120 fps, on a 2k monitor, my GPU (7900xtx) runs at about 30% in the early game, up to about 45% in late game.
