Dark Souls taught me some things; for one, it taught me how one should approach and in a sense, play video games in general. But not only that, it may sound ridiculous, but this game's world and its story even taught me some really important lessons on life itself.

But I want to express something quite a bit personal here. I know this is honestly a bit sad to admit, but nevertheless... my first playthrough of the video game Dark Souls is genuinely, without any sort of exaggeration, this one game, this one extraordinary piece of art, my trek through the dark and hollowing world of Lordran, is the single most fulfilling journey that I have ever experienced.

But even though, at the end of the day, Dark Souls is just a video game. It's a fictional world. It doesn't really have any direct impact on one's physical life. Even though that is the fact of the matter, I still am, from the deepest bottom of my heart, forever eternally grateful to the man Hidetaka Miyazaki and every single one of the individuals at FromSoftware for having created this utter monument of digital art, that brought me an adventure that made me feel emotions in this life that I previously had never experienced before. And because of that, I can only do nothing but, in absolute truth, gratefully treasure all the time spent playing this one video game.

I have played a lot of games in my life, and a very select few have been what you could call true masterpieces. Though I finished this game pretty late on my long journey with playing video games, and it took a few attempts to actually find the fervorous demanding commitment needed to actually finish the game, I without hesitation, genuinely believe that Dark Souls is objectively one of the absolute greatest, and personally, I would even arguably say...
The greatest video game of all time.

Dark Souls is, in the complete sense of the words' definition, a true, genuine masterpiece.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the only game I have ever played that is genuinely a completely perfect video game; I say this without the slightest hint of exaggeration.

Sekiro is as close to being completely flawless in every aspect that a video game can possibly be, to the point where, to credit it as anything less than being genuinely perfect would do the game an actual injustice.

FromSoftware developed and refined this masterpiece to the point of true perfection. Exactly everything they set out to do with this game they did to the point where it literally could not be more perfect than this.

Unlike their other action RPGs, where you have an uncountable number of drastically different options to approach each combat encounter, Sekiro narrowed it down to where you basically only have one option and some flexibility with your shinobi tools. And in return, the moment to moment gameplay have never felt more satisfying.

Everything, and I genuinely mean EVERYTHING in this game, was beyond expertly tailor-made to play and fit perfectly with every single ability you are given. I have never experienced gameplay in any other video game more tight and thought through than this.

Sekiro may not be as grandiose in sheer scale as FromSoftware's other Souls games, but in return for that, if you're up to the grueling challenge to master it, it is the most perfectly refined and optimized combat experience you can have in gaming. With no shortage of an absolutely incredible story with set pieces, characters, and bosses that you will never forget.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is truly refined to absolute perfection.
