Google Ads App campaign not running: Low creative asset coverage and diversity (Ad Strength)

App Campaigns with a limited set of ads or assets may have more difficulty serving since they're eligible to enter into fewer auctions and have more limited reach.

What you can do

  • Diversify and improve your assets: Aim for an "Ad Strength" of "Good" or "Excellent" by adding unique headlines and descriptions. Ensure you include video assets in multiple ratios (landscape, square, and vertical) to access all available YouTube inventory.
  • Check asset status and policy: Visit the "Ads and Assets" tab to identify any "Disapproved" or "Under Review" assets. Standard reviews take 1-2 business days. If disapproved, edit the asset to comply with Google Ads policies or submit an appeal.
