I'm not sure if I actually want to be born in the 50s, but the Beat movement really interests me. They stood out against the conformity of the 50s. It was a movement inspired by a belief, as opposed to a clothing line.
Whereas now if you wear a tie over your tanktop you are so "edgy" and "hardc0re PuNk". Much thanks goes out to Avril Lavigne and Hot Topic for their contributions to society. |
