As much as I hate disagreeing with Pete Townshend, I say that we do need to fight to prove we're right when it comes to finding an antidote for these times we find ourselves in. But we sure as hell don't need to be forgiven!
'ello, all. my name is ashley and i don't belong in this generation. hence my wanting to join this community. firstly, may i say that it is way scary that my friend and fellow dollie, fairerose joined JUST as i discovered this group for myself. groovy, none the less.
just look at all the great bands and tidbits she listed! as far as i go, i like many aspects of 60s/70s culture. i dress mod, yet hippie, yet rock- its all very that. i like to bring back words and use them- often causing my friends to say *what?* after i comment on something. it's ok. i just was born way too late! this generation, which i now know are called the *echo boomers*, are a really confusing lot. it's no wonder that many of us feel like we are in the wrong decade!
i am a beatle freak. that explains why i love the 60s a bit, i s'pose. lovely meeting you all. peace! love!...you know, all that jazz.
