Product Description

The Forgotten City is a mature narrative-driven game, and a re-imagining of the critically acclaimed Mod that won a national Writers' Guild award and racked up over 3 million downloads. Trapped in a secret underground city during the Roman empire, twenty-three lost souls cling to life. In this precarious utopia, if one person breaks the mysterious Golden Rule, everyone dies. As a time-traveler drawn two thousand years into the past, you'll relive their final moments in an endless loop, exploring and interrogating, and changing the course of the day with each secret you uncover.     I recently had the pleasure of playing "The Forgotten City" on my PlayStation 5 and I have to say, it was a truly unique and unforgettable experience. The game is a remastered version of the popular PC game of the same name, and it's a must-play for anyone who enjoys a good mystery or immersive storytelling.

    The game is set in an underground Roman city where the player takes on the role of a time-traveler who must uncover the secrets of the city and prevent a catastrophe from occurring. The story is well-written and expertly crafted, with numerous twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters are also well-developed and feel like real people, each with their own unique motivations and personalities.

    You can tell this was made by a small team. Still an enjoyable experience and story. Doesn't take long to complete but still has enough variety to be worth the purchase. I would have been a bit upset if this was a full 60-70$ release but it is worth 25$ for sure.

    If you are at this game listing you may be aware of the games origins as a Skyrim Mod, but it has evolved into much more as a stand alone game. If not, don't do too much reading about it or you may run into spoilers. If you love Skyrim, Fallout, Outer Worlds, the Witcher 3, etc. you will likely love this game. It is smaller scale and shorter length than all those, but the price reflects that as well. Highly recommended!

    This is an excellent dialogue and story based adventure. If you're 14 and have a short attention span and exclusively play call of duty, this is not for you.

    The controls are a little janky at times and it definitely doesn’t feel like a modern game, but it was a blast to experience and see how things unfolded. I really wish I could play it again for the first time.
