Happy Fall Y’all!

It’s difficult to believe that the poplar trees have already begun dropping a few of their leaves here in Georgia. Despite the 90-plus degree temperatures this harbinger reminds us of the inevitable cool changes to come, along with a lot more leaves. Another year will soon end and we will begin another glorious trip around our sun. It’s even more difficult to believe how many more shows we still have in 2026! What the wha!?!

2026 has been an incredible year already for ARS. The Rock Legends Cruise. The “Elvis” showroom at Westgate in Las Vegas on July 4th. The marvelous Long Island crowd at Eisenhower Park. The legendary Casino Ballroom on Hampton Beach. We deeply appreciate the wonderful venues and fantastic events that invited us to perform. We are truly grateful to all the tireless crews that worked day and night to make the concerts happen. Especially, a big ‘THANKS Y’ALL!’ to everyone for coming out to see us. None of us can do what we do if you don’t!

ARS Rocks Across America this Autumn

We’re thrilled to head back to Texas and play two of our favorite places anywhere, Arlington Music Hall, in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and Main Street Crossing in Tomball, Texas just outside Houston. Southern hospitality Texas-style is BIG and really feels like home to us.

From Texas we get about as far west as it gets, California, where ARS plays a few real nice places. The Belly Up Tavern opened in Solana Beach in 1974. It’s an honor to join the amazing list of artists who have played Belly Up during it’s laudable history. Next, we head north to Laguna Beach and Ivan’s House Live at Mozambique, a newer venue with gorgeous views and a delicious menu. Speaking of gorgeous views, we joyfully return to Helwig Winery in Plymouth, California to help celebrate their 15th anniversary. Congratulations! We wrap up our trip way out West in the capital of Nevada, Carson City, home to Swan Music Hall at Nashville Social. This place brings a taste of the South and a heap of southern hospitality to the West.

We end September in the middle of the USA. Hooking back up with Jefferson Starship’s “Runaway Again Tour” which features our friends, Orleans, Firefall and Pure Prairie League, we gear up for several huge multi-band rock’n’roll shows starting in Pittsburg, Kansas at Kansas Crossing Casino and The Astro near Omaha, Nebraska. We look forward to a rockin’ happy event in Rapid City, Iowa at McGrath Amphitheatre before heading to the legendary Family Arena in St. Charles for a large time just outside St. Louis. We round out September at Missouri’s recently renovated Capitol Region MU Healthcare Amphitheatre. Yup. Playin’ Jefferson City with Jefferson Starship. Nice!

Rocktober 2026 Really Rocks!

Come get your spooky groove on with us in October. We’ll be digging into the deep south at Jacksonville’s Florida Theatre then crawl west along Florida’s eerie panhandle returning to the fantastic Matie Kelly Art Center in Niceville/Destin. This year frighteningly lacked down home Georgia shows so y’all head to The Hall at Bourbon Brothers in Gainesville, Georgia, October 17.

It might get a little scary when these southern boys meander north from Danville, Kentucky to The Genesee Theatre in Waukegan, Illinois. If we didn’t end up so close to Wisconsin we would be terrified. ARS starts the trek back south with a stop in Nashville, Indiana. We really look forward to spending some more time in this beautiful part of America where ARS performs with Orleans at Brown County Music Center, October 25.

Rocktober includes a reg’lar Tom and Huck mighty Mississippi River adventure for ARS. Starting with an extremely rare downtown New Orleans show, right in the heart of the Big Easy at The Joy Theatre, we venture north along ‘Old Muddy’ to Delta State in Cleveland, Mississippi and wind up our journey at Memphis, Tennessee’s Cannon Center for the Performing Arts at Renasant Convention Center.

We keep rocking well into November this year, visiting Largo, Florida to Rock for Heroes with Firefall at a very special VFW event and returning to the fabulous Lyric Theatre in Stuart, Florida. The Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation are hosting “Runaway Again Tour” featuring Jefferson Starship, ARS, Firefall and Orleans at 4 Bears Casino and Lodge in New Town, North Dakota, an amazing destination, November 14. “Runaway Again Tour” also hits Atlantic City’s Hard Rock, November 20.

Check out our tour date page for even more info!

ATTENTION! All Fans of 70’s Rock! Go See Orleans! SOON!

In case you haven’t heard the news, the official word is that the current tour will be Orleans’ final dance. Founding member, Lance Hoppen announced on their website that Orleans will cease touring after The 70’s Rock and Romance Cruise, March 2027. Unlike other ‘Final Tours’ we’ve been involved with this one feels like it needs to be taken seriously. If you have been fortunate enough to meet Lance you understand. He’s kind of a serious dude, along with being an incredible bass player.

Good luck getting aboard the ship if you haven’t already reserved a cabin on Rock and Romance Cruise. However, lucky for the rest of us there will be other opportunities to see one of Orleans’ final shows. It just so happens ARS is very fortunate to be on the bill for several of them. Check out Orleans’ official website for all their remaining tour dates as well as lots of great info and insight into this legendary band.

This year the multi-band/packaged shows have dominated our schedule. Playing many shows with the same bands has afforded us the opportunity to better get to know one another. Seeing everybody several times in a month versus only a couple/few times a year has been a treat! Lance and his brother Lane have anchored Orleans for decades. The current iteration of Orleans has now been playing together for several years and has completely gelled as a band. They sound amazing! These guys can PLAY and SING!!

ARS wishes the best for Lance, Lane, Brady, Tom and Tony (We really like their crew too! Mike, Bill, and John! And Hi Fly!)! They’re a stand up bunch and it’s been a privilege working with them. We really hope to see them all down the road far into the future.

"The Atlanta Rhythm Section : The Authorized History" - Is Now Available!

Seasoned, southern author, Willie G. Moseley, has written an in-depth book about The Atlanta Rhythm Section. Years of research and extensive interviews are infused into the first and only authorized history of the band. A native and current resident of Alabama, Mr. Moseley effortlessly weaves the story of a band whose roots are so close to his own.

Atlanta Rhythm Section’s background is a history lesson of the music scene in the South during the 60’s. Mr. Moseley details how Buddy Buie assembled a core group of incredibly talented southern musicians and developed the creative environment that enabled the ensemble to flourish and truly craft some amazing work. Buddy made real his dream of forming a super group to use as a vehicle for his songwriting skills, musical vision and business acumen. Mr. Buie’s efforts played out like an expertly conducted symphony and crescendo when Atlanta Rhythm Section’s mainstream success peaked in the late 70’s.

What goes up..., well, you can read the rest of that story too. Mr. Moseley’s book delves into the struggles that follow the band’s Top 40 success. He trails the band’s twists and turns throughout the new millennium up to the present day. Published by Schiffer Publishing and available through many online retailers, “The Atlanta Rhythm Section : The Authorized History” is Mr. Moseley’s thirteenth book. A senior writer of Vintage Guitar Magazine, he is News Editor emeritus for The Tallassee Tribune.

A.R.S. Releases 2-Disc CD: "One From the Vaults"

Often described as a more radio-friendly version of Lynyrd Skynyrd or the Allman Brothers, the Atlanta Rhythm Section was one of many Southern Rock bands to hit the upper reaches of the charts during the late `70s. Hailing from the small town of Doraville, Georgia, the beginning of the Atlanta Rhythm Section can be traced back to 1970. It was then that a local recording studio was opened, Studio One, and the remnants of two groups (the Candymen and the Classics Four), became the studio's house band. One of the facility's head figures, Buddy Buie, soon began assembling the session band. After playing on several artists' recordings, it was decided to take the band a step further and make the group of players a real band, leading to the formation of the Atlanta Rhythm Section. This collection contains 10 tracks previously unavailable on compact disc.
